Description Lednabra is an elegant, traditionally built extended farmhouse set in beautiful, informal gardens and enjoying spectacular open views towards the Campsie Fells. Originally a traditional farmhouse, it has been extended over the years and now provides exceptional family accommodation over two floors, with a courtyard to the rear. The University of Glasgow Library archives hold the architectural drawings made in 1954 when A D Hislop of Campbell Hislop and Welsh undertook works on Lednabra for E Rowley Orr Esq. The presence of 11 plans suggests that these works were significant. In the original part of the house, the wooden front door is set in a stair turret from where double doors open into a welcoming reception hallway with the sitting room to the left and the dining room to the right. The dining room is open plan to the kitchen to the rear and has a glazed door to an enclosed gravelled seating area. The kitchen has fitted painted timber units with Corian worktops, a tiled floor and a two oven Aga and separate oven. Glazed double doors open from the kitchen into a rear hallway

4 with stairs to the first floor, doors to the bootroom and the utility room and to the gravelled seating area. A further door opens to a rear porch which provides the everyday entrance to the house from the courtyard. An L-shaped inner hall leads from the front hallway past a cloakroom with wc to a further inner hallway with access from the courtyard and to the beautiful west and south facing drawing room which focuses on a substantial stone fireplace. To the rear of the drawing room is a dining area from where a door gives access to a turret with a door to the north wing and a staircase to the first floor. The ground floor of the north wing is used as a games room and has a door to the courtyard. A sweeping staircase leads up to a galleried landing off which is a substantial room currently used as an office. Access to the upper floor is via three separate staircases to a galleried landing with cupola, there are six bedrooms, master with separate dressing area, two family bathrooms and a shower room.
