5 History Royal Avenue was the fictional home of James Bond and was also featured in Dirk Bogarde s 1963 film The Servant. The Avenue was historically designed by Sir Christopher Wren on behalf of William III in the 1690s as part of a bold project intended to connect the Royal Hospital with Kensington Palace.
