5 Situation The town of Whitchurch has excellent local amenities and facilities including a wide range of shops, restaurants and public houses and All Hallows Church. The town recently won the national competition to be the first rural community to receive super-fast broadband service. The regional centres of Basingstoke, Winchester and Newbury offer more comprehensive shopping and recreational facilities. Sporting facilities in the area include golf at Test Valley Golf Course about 2 miles south of Overton, and Sandford Springs at Kingsclere, racing at Newbury and fishing on the nearby River Test. From London leave the M3 at junction 8 and join the A303 and proceed south-west on the A303 towards Andover. Continue for approximately 6.5 miles, taking the exit to the A34 North.
