Its position lends itself to a variety of trading patterns including; traditional village pub, restaurant, venue for small weddings or activities, meetings and parties etc. Glasbury is a popular village that straddles the Wye four miles south west of Hay-on-Wye approximately eleven miles from Brecon. Situated just outside the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park it is a popular village with activities including canoeing, walking, biking with easy access into the foothills of the Black Mountains nearby. The village has a late opening garage/post office/ general stores as well as high quality country hotel, riverside restaurant etc. It is popular with tourists and travellers alike- it has its heart in the traditional farming communities which the village serves.
