4 Penarvon House For sale freehold The property is ideally positioned off a quiet private lane and yet only a few minutes walk down to the village centre itself with its Helford Village Stores and the famous Shipwrights Arms Pub. The property is approached through electric gates into a large parking area with plenty of space for a number of cars or boat trailers. The river also caters for larger yachts with sheltered anchorages and moorings with several beaches near the mouth. The river opens into Falmouth Bay from where one can access the Carrick Roads. Both St Mawes and Fowey are within easy day sailing distance, as are many other beaches and coves along the coastline. Helford Village offers a store, Down To The River Café and Sailaway Boat Hire at The Boathouse, St Anthony. The popular and very active local sailing club organises regular racing during the season along with many other activities. In the summer months a passenger ferry links Helford village to Helford Passage on the other side of the river where there is an inn and walks lead to the gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah. The Shipwright s Arms inn sits beside the water s edge in Helford and there are further facilities at Manaccan which is only about one mile away, including a church, primary school, snooker club, restaurant, inn and tennis courts. Within 20 mins drive is the spectacular Mullion links Golf Course overlooking the sea. The market town of Helston is about 10 miles away and offers a full range of shopping and commercial facilities including schooling, a local hospital, supermarkets and a sports centre. This is one of Cornwall s best loved and most sought-after villages, totally unspoilt, with activities for all ages along the sheltered south Cornish coast. Truro, the main shopping and administrative centre for Cornwall, is about 27 miles away. As well as an excellent shopping centre, Truro offers main line rail services to London and the Midlands and there are a growing number of flights to many UK and international destinations from Newquay Airport. With a fenced naval airstrip on your left, follow this road (and the fence) all the way past the entrance to the Naval base. About one mile after the entrance, at the mini roundabout, take the left exit onto the B3293 toward St Keverne. After about one mile, at another mini roundabout with a war memorial opposite, continue to follow the B3293 (right exit). After about 1.5 miles pass two white gatehouses on your left, slow down and take a sharp left turn 100m further on, signposted St Martin, Manaccan and Helford. After 1.7 miles in the village of Newtown, at the T-junction, turn right towards Manaccan, Helford and Kestle Barton. Then almost immediately turn left signposted Helford and Manaccan. After 1.4 miles, having passed a farmyard, turn left at the 4-way crossroads signposted Kestle and Mudgeon. After about 200 metres take the first right, signposted Kestle Wartha. Follow this lane for one mile, passing through Kestle Barton, up the hill and then down the other side and then turn right turn, signed Orchard Lane. After approximately 400 yards, the house is visible on the left. Take the first turning to the left signed private road. The house is the first house on the left.
