4 Langley Burrell & North Wiltshire Langley Green is situated on the edge of the unspoilt North Wiltshire village of Langley Burrell. The village has a church, village hall and a popular public house, The Langley Tap. The neighbouring villages of Kington Langley, Sutton Benger, Christian Malford, and Stanton St Quinton are active parishes with further popular pubs, village shops, post offices and service stations. 5 Langley Green Langley Green House is an extremely attractive Grade II Listed house situated on the edge of the village. Approached through automated gates and down a private drive, the property is believed to date back to the early 14th Century and retains many period features such as ornate cornice, exposed timber beams, stone-flagged and natural stone floors and some fine engraved fireplaces. The original dwelling is believed to be the home of local stalwart Maud Heath who died in 1474 and went under major alterations in 17th and early 18th Century. The main house has two main styles, the impressive Georgian front and older and extremely charming rear elevation that has farmhouse characteristics.
