3 Scholland is situated in Virkie, the most southerly district of mainland Shetland. The area is a perfect spot for nature lovers, with the surrounding landscape home to an abundance of wildlife. There are several brilliant beaches nearby, and on a clear day the island of Fair Isle can be seen on the horizon. Scholland in in close proximity to amenities such as Sumburgh Airport, Sumburgh Hotel, Dunrossness Primary School, and several shops including Mainland s supermarket and fuel pumps. There is also a shop and Post Office within walking distance of the property. Tourist attractions such as Jarlshof, Scatness dig and Sumburgh Lighthouse & visitors centre are also nearby. Scholland is approximately 11 miles from the village of Sandwick, where there is a junior high school and leisure centre amongst other amenities, and approximately 23 miles from Lerwick. Built at the turn of the last century, Scholland is a traditional Shetland former croft house which has since been extended and renovated. Windows are upvc double glazed.
