ASDA have a supermarket in town. Nursery, primary and secondary schools are to be found in Girvan as well as hospital (minor injuries) and Doctors surgery. Girvan is also served by a railway station which provides connections north to Ayr and Glasgow and south to Stranraer. The county town of Ayr is approximately 22 miles and Prestwick Airport about 24 miles.

12 Directions On entering Girvan travelling from Ayr proceed ahead to traffic lights at town square/clock tower and here turn right, Knockcushan Street. Continue ahead to the mini roundabout at harbour taking first exit left, Henrietta Street. Continue along Henrietta Street and turn right, Young Street. Continue to the bottom of Young Street and turn right on to Edmiston Drive. The property is situated on the right hand side just a short distance along.
