Grade II listed, their stunning buttermilk facades are of an Italianate style with Tuscan columns below their grand portico entrances. They were compared to the grand terraces of London's Hyde Park, which were built at the same time, putting Brighton firmly on the map as the most desirable place to live outside the capital. Even before you step foot into this elegant Regency apartment, its immaculate, own street entrance is set to impress. Slate tiled steps lead down to cool-grey decking, and the window boxes are abundant with geranium in bloom. The front door sits within a covered porch, and once inside, the scale of the apartment becomes apparent, as your line of sight takes you right through two reception rooms to the pretty garden at the rear. RECEPTION ROOMS Opulent carpet runs the length of the entrance hall, passing the bedrooms on the westerly wing, to where the corridor doubles in width creating a fantastic dining area. With its own street entrance, it is really private, and when you sit out in the garden, you would never think you were in the middle of the city. It is definitely the location which has kept us here so long, however. You are perfectly positioned between both Brighton and Hove, and the walking along the promenade is a lovely experience at any time of year. We have also benefitted from the fantastic bus service from the top of the square, where you can hop on and go anywhere in the city. We are moving closer to family in the countryside, but we aren't moving too far from Brighton as we will be back to visit on a regular basis." - Vendor s comments THE KITCHEN LUXURY BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS Conveniently positioned between the two reception areas, the kitchen is a contemporary addition having been fitted only two years ago. 7 GOOD TO KNOW It has been suggested that the kitchen could be extended into the courtyard garden creating an even more spacious open plan kitchen and dining space, but this would reduce the light into the master bedroom. Planning consents would need to be sought, however, as it is a listed building within a conservation area. BEDROOMS, BATHROOM & HOT TUB Bedrooms two and three sit at the front of the building, and are accessed down a short corridor to the left of the entrance. These are lovely double rooms with a westerly aspect, and being set back from the road, the sunshine casts a warming light during the afternoon and early evening. The décor in both is fresh and neutral with latte carpets and creamy walls, and the sash windows have been well maintained to ensure a warm and restful night's sleep. They share use of a modern shower room; tiled in travertine and with a reviving rainfall shower. A conical hand basin has been set into a wooden stand and a tall heated rail warms your towels. Bedroom four's suite is part of a later extension to the rear of the building, accessible from the conservatory. It is tucked away from the main living areas making it ideal for guests as it has its own en suite shower room. For a touch of luxury, there is a sunken Jacuzzi hot tub too with comfortable seating for four, so you can truly relax after a long day.
