4 The Property Wylam House is Grade II Listed, was built in approximately 1860, and was the home of Viscount Plumer who was a distinguished soldier. His military career spanned 40 years and he was awarded Freedom of the Borough of Torquay. He is now buried in Westminster Abbey. It was also home to Prince Ernst Hohenloe Schillingfurst for many years.
