4 Situation Whiteparish is an active and popular village lying to the south of the cathedral city of Salisbury. Frogmore House sits on the edge of the village in a quiet location surrounded by its own land. The village is complete with excellent facilities including village shop, post office, primary school and doctor s surgery as well as two pubs. A wider range of amenities can be found in Salisbury, Romsey, Southampton and Winchester, all of which are nearby. Road and rail links are excellent from Whiteparish with the A36 approximately a mile away which gives good access to the M27. There are direct rail services to London Waterloo from Salisbury, Winchester and Southampton. Southampton airport is approximately 17 miles away and provides regular flights to Europe. Public Schools include Winchester College, St Swithuns, Godolphin and Marlborough College. Salisbury has also retained its Grammar Schools for both boys and girls; Bishops Wordsworth for boys and South Wilts for girls. The local surrounding countryside provides an array of sporting amenities. There is fishing on some of the country s best known chalk streams including the Test. There are also fine pheasant and partridge shoots available locally. The New Forest provides endless scope for walking and riding and the South Coast is also within easy reach and offers excellent sailing from numerous locations.
