The long, hot summer has now begun and the island is very busy. One of the wonderful things about living here all year round is to experience the contrast between summer and winter. We know the island has to recover from summer and so the quietness of winter is always welcome. But once Christmas is over, soon after it s carnival time followed by Paska and at this stage we know we re ready for the hustle and bustle of summer again. So what s been happening with the property market on Skiathos? Well, we have had a very interesting start, considering the world s economic situation. Up to the time of writing this newsletter, we have been inundated with enquiries, s and viewings, some of which have resulted in sales and purchases that are now well under way. But, at this stage, it s difficult to say how the property market will perform. Early indications are promising but we will wait until the end of the season before we decide if it s a good year or not! Inside this Newsletter, we have focused mainly on townhouses.
