The nearest villages are Wray (Post Office/shop, tea room, two pubs and a primary school) 2.8 miles away and High Bentham (a busy working town with an active high street) 2.8 miles. The well regarded market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is 11.6 miles distant and between them Kendal (24.4 miles), Lancaster (12.6 miles) and Skipton (29.5 miles) offer all you could need. Access onto the M6 is at J34 for southbound traffic or J36 for northbound.
