2 Introduction Following approval of the outline planning application by the Scottih Government in December 00, Trump International - Scotland commiioned award winning Scottih architect Gareth Hokin, a national deign advior to the Scottih Government, a member of Royal Incorporation of Architect in Scotland and the Royal Intitute of Britih Architect, and Adviory Board Member and National Deign Champion for Architecture & Deign Scotland, to prepare the detailed mater plan for the golf, reidential and leiure development. Now halfway through the proce, thi brochure provide an inight into Gareth Hokin Architect evolving mater plan and the main component of the property. Spanning approximately 00 hectare of land on the north-eat coat of Aberdeenhire in Scotland, the propoed development will be compried of a world cla championhip link golf coure uitable for hoting major international event and a econd -hole link golf coure; an iconic hotel et amidt an array of luxury holiday home; and a reidential village formed within the unique etting of the Menie Etate. Approach Working in collaboration with Gareth Hokin Architect i a team of leading Scottih deigner, engineer, and environmental cientit who are currently engaged in developing every apect of the ite to enure it complement it wider urroundin. From the hitoric woodland around Menie Houe to the dune and the hinterland beyond, a well a the undulating arable land to the outh, the ite encompae a number of very different area of landcape, each with their own particular character. Careful conideration continue to be given to the location of buildin to enure a eamle unification with the landcape while controlling the viual impact and preerving the ditinct character of the land. The mater plan deign aim to work with the exiting natural feature and topography, and take full advantage of the dramatic etting, creating a trong ene of place and belonging. Trump International - Scotland will be a world cla detination to viit and an inpirational place to live. Synonymou with the Trump brand, all apect of thi development will be built to the very highet architectural and deign tandard. Proce During the complex mater planning proce, regular meetin will continue to be held with Aberdeenhire Council, Scottih Natural Heritage (SNH), Scottih Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and other tatutory conultant to review the propoal and to enure the condition of Outline Planning Permiion are addreed. The Deign Team ha alo been working cloely with the Scottih Government national deign adviory body, Architecture & Deign Scotland, to review the development of the mater plan. The developing deign ha been greeted with extremely poitive upport, interet and enthuiam and i being een a a thoughtful and conidered approach that repond carefully to the particular qualitie of the ite. 5 Hotel, Holiday Home and Golf Villa Iconic five-tar hotel with pa and conference centre Holiday home and golf villa Recreational facilitie including tenni, archery and equetrian centre The hotel and holiday home will be ited to the wet of the golf coure in two ditinct area. Firtly, the hotel and aociated facilitie, een very much a a detination, will be located on the ecarpment that run along the edge of the coure, looking out to the ea, commanding breathtaking view acro the dune and the coat beyond. The aim of thee accommodation i to create a ditinctive grouping of buildin that work with the linear character of the ecarpment and become a beautiful badrop to event. The holiday home adjacent to the hotel will alo tra the linear form of the ecarpment and provide exceptional ea view. Secondly, the golf villa will follow the curved contour of the rolling landcape to the north of the ite providing a heltered environment. Thee are pulled ba from the very enitive edge of the dune, broken down in cale to form a erie of three group of accommodation. Their location i in repone to the undulating landcape that run behind the dune, and will create maller cale place focued around the landcape bowl that exit on the ite, with long view out to the north-eat. A wide range of recreational and leiure facilitie are planned acro the ite, including a tenni facility, an archery range, and an equetrian centre. GOLF RESORT

Dr. Hawtree father and grandfather before him deigned and laid out hundred of coure worldwide but are perhap bet known for the tunning Open Championhip coure, Royal Birkdale. The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrew tak Dr. Hawtree each year with deign modification at all their Open Championhip venue before each tournament. Dr. Hawtree fierce adherence to working with the natural environment will allow him to create one of the mot natural link golf coure ever contructed. The topography for the firt golf coure conit of dramatic dune riing high above the eahore and tretching ba hundred of metre inland to create a erie of valley running through the majetic dune. The econd golf coure will be formed in tark contrat over low link land typical of mot eaide coure in the United Kingdom. The coure will be formed uing a minimal diturbance approach and the playing urface will ue indigenou grae which will be the ubject of the highet care and attention, with the aim being to retrict the ue of peticide and fertilizer. The coure will be ditinctly different in character and appearance but will complement each other, creating greater capacity and interet. Conveniently ituated between both coure will be a well appointed driving range and golf academy eaily acceed from the luxury club houe. The club houe will be located within the dune with tunning view out to the ea, and will offer a full range of modern and traditional facilitie for both viitor and guet who will enjoy the bet of Scottih hopitality and tandard. Rather than the more typical prawl aociated with reidential development, the new reidential village i carefully planned around a dene core. In the tradition of the many hitoric planned village and town around Scotland, the core i baed around a central quare with a mall grouping of public facilitie, hop, cafe, pub and playground, which can be acceed eaily either by foot or bike from the urrounding houing, or by public tranport via a new road that connect through the centre from the A0. The village tie in with the exiting helterbelt of mature woodland providing protection from the prevailing wind while running outh of Menie Houe and inform the pattern of heltered finger of houing that will run down toward the coure, again with view out over the ea. The hard landcaped character of the quare i offet by the ofter landcape of a wetland park which form a focu around exiting pond for a crecent of new houing that wrap around the north of the ite. Following the principle of creating utainable and acceible communitie, the development aim to provide afe and pleaant pace that are eay to move around, epecially on foot, creating a welcoming environment for reident and viitor. The Board will conit of a mix of environmental expert including SNH and SEPA and will be chaired by the world renowned geomorphologit, Profeor Bill Ritchie. In addition, Trump International - Scotland ha appointed one of Scotland foremot environmental cientit a Ecological Clerk of Work, to provide independent advice to Aberdeenhire Council enuring that environmental condition, mitigation and compenation meaure are met.
