The property has three bedrooms which all lead out onto a wrap around balcony. The patio area is another feature that we love! the owner adds, it is rare in the city centre to find an apartment with such a large area of private outside space, the patio is great in the summer months, the doors lead out straight from the living area so it has allowed us to relax and entertain with no extra effort. Because we have lived in the property since it was built in 2013 we had the luxury of changing the plans to make the apartment work for us the vendor explains, we changed the layout and moved a few walls around so we could make the most of all the space in the way that works the best for us. We moved the position of the living area so it led straight out onto the patio and repositioned the bedrooms so they all sit on one side of the apartment says the owner. The penthouse apartment enjoys a large open plan living area, with generous glass doors all around the natural light floods in creating an uplifting atmosphere throughout the apartment. Another smaller change we made was to install sliding doors out to the wrap around balcony and patio, the original plan included swing doors but we thought with an apartment where every bit of space counts the sliding doors which use much less space when open would make much more sense. Smaller details like this are what have made living here so hassle free and pleasurable! The apartment is in an ideal location for us, everything we need is within walking distance, shops, plenty of restaurants and also Midsummer Common and the River. At the same time, the apartment is surprisingly quiet, we can t hear any road noise from where we are so it is hard to believe that we are in fact in the middle of a city, we have been very lucky! the owner explains. Living in a modern development has been great for us, the apartment requires little to no maintenance so has allowed us to continue on with our busy schedules the vendor continues. Another feature we ve found very useful is the ability to lock up and go, we lived in Houston for two years so it was great to know that we could leave the apartment and our vehicle for months at a time without having to worry. 23 Darwin House has been a great home for us for the past 3 years and I will thoroughly miss having the luxury of such a spacious apartment whilst still being so close to the city centre.
