Shared Ownership is flexible enough to suit you as your circumstances change. So over time you can buy further shares in the property up to full ownership. Why is it affordable? With Shared Ownership you buy only the share you can afford which means you need a smaller mortgage and deposit. The rent you pay on the share you haven t bought is also reduced. This means Shared Ownership can often be cheaper than renting privately. What happens if I want to sell? If you want to move and sell your share you may do this at any time. Just call our customer service centre, and they will guide you through the process. Can I improve/alter the property? If you wish to improve your home or make any structural alterations you must first get our written agreement. This will not be unreasonably withheld.
