Bromley is approximately two miles away, a busy and affluent centre whose attractions include the 140 shops and cafés of The Glades, the Pavilion Leisure Centre, a multiplex cinema and the Churchill Theatre. Beckenham too, has an excellent range of stylish restaurants and boutiques, and is just as close. However, when you want to enjoy outdoor rather than indoor pleasures, there are hundreds of acres of wild parkland to escape to. Hayes Common is a vast area of heaths, woods and wetlands and deservedly popular for family outings and dog-walking.
