Park Royal was a showground for the Royal Agricultural Society in the early 1900s, but very quickly developed into an industrial centre, becoming home to many famous companies in the food and drinks sector, including Heinz, McVities and Guinness and now Diageo. In 2012, there were 489 different food companies in Park Royal manufacturing a third of all the food consumed in London. Park Royal is known as London s breadbasket. Location 08.

39 Shared ownership Apartments at Arc are available from Catalyst Housing, through the popular government-funded Shared Ownership scheme, to those who live or work in the London Borough of Brent and meet the eligibility criteria. Shared ownership offers a low cost way for eligible first-time buyers to get onto the property ladder by making a house purchase more affordable. It is a part-buy/part-rent scheme which allows you to buy a share of a new build property and pay a monthly rent on the remaining share. You can normally buy up to 75% of the property, however a minimum percentage will apply on certain developments (please refer to your price list). The combined monthly cost of your rent and your mortgage value will usually be less than buying the property outright. You can buy a home in this way in London if: Your household earns 66,000 or less a year for a home with one and two bedrooms, or 80,000 or less for family homes of three bedrooms or more.
