Files must be 300 dpi. Acceptable formats: EPS, TIF, PDF and JPG (300 dpi). SHORT RATES AND REBATES Advertisers will be short-rated, if, within a 12-month period from date of first insertion, they do not use the amount of space upon which their billings have been based. Advertisers will be rebated, if, within a 12-month period from date of first insertion, they have used sufficient additional space to warrant a lower rate than that at which they have been billed. AGENCY COMMISSION 15% of the gross billing allowed to recognized advertising agencies on display space, color, bleed and position only, provided account is paid within 30 days of invoice date. Bills are dated the day copies are mailed. Commission not allowed on charges other than those specified above. Advertiser s material must adhere to acceptable materials specifications (see Acceptable materials) to qualify for agency commission. TERMS OF SALE A. Net 30 days from date of invoice. B. All advertisements are acceptable and published entirely on the representation that the agency and/or advertiser are properly authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter thereof. It is understood that, in consideration of the publication of advertisements, the advertiser and/or agency will indemnify and hold the publisher harmless from and against any claims or suits for libel, violation of rights of privacy, plagiarism, trademark and copyright infringements, and other claims based on the contents or subject matter of such publication. The publisher reserves the right to reject any and all advertising which he/she feels is not in keeping with the publication s standards, policies and principles. C. Johnson Controls and Hall of Fame Village LLC -- a partnership between the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Industrial Realty Group -- are working together to create the Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has long been a fairly sleepy museum. The changes coming to the site, though, will change that. The expansion project comes with a $700 million price tag, and will include 10 major venues. According to press from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the goal here is to create the most inspiring place on Earth. Yes, that is a lofty goal. The backbone of the project is the creation of what Johnson Controls is calling a smart city. This means that all of the building systems throughout the expanded campus will be controlled through advanced data and analytics. For instance, visitors to the new Hall of Fame Village will get wearable technology that tells them when lines might be shorter at different venues. It s all about offering experiences By Dan Rafter, Editor Shake Shack continues to thrive, largely because people can t find their burgers and shakes anywhere else. Live in the Chicago neighborhoods of Wrigleyville or Lincoln Park? You ll soon have the chance to scale 55-foot climbing walls, stretch your muscles in yoga classes and build your strength with free weights all in the same building. That s when Planet Granite Climbing, Yoga and Fitness opens new gyms in these neighborhoods in just one more example of retailers offering experiences to attract consumers. Experiential real estate is more than a trend. It s a way for physical retailers to survive in a world increasingly dominated by Amazon and ecommerce. The concept is simple: If retailers can offer consumers something they can t buy online, they just might be able to survive with brick-and-mortar locations. And scaling massive climbing walls? That s an experience consumers can t order from Amazon. SELLING EXPERIENCES Robert Cohen, chief executive officer of Planet Granite and Earth Treks, said that the new climbing gyms will be open in both Wrigleyville and Lincoln Park in late The Wrigley Field-area location at 1111 W. Not only that, all of Southeastern Wisconsin is firmly in boom mode today when it comes to commercial real estate activity. That s the good news from Deborah Tomczyk, shareholder and chair of the real estate department with the Milwaukee office of law firm Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren. And she s not the only real estate pro in the region who feels this way. The brokers doing business here agree: Milwaukee and its surrounding communities are in the middle of a commercial real estate expansion. Louisville s entire commercial real estate market, it seems, is in growth mode. And the best news? The Louisville area is showing no signs of a commercial slowdown anytime soon. It s why the city ranks as one of the steadiest in the Midwest when it comes to sales, leasing and new development. AN INDUSTRIAL BOOM The star sector, though, remains industrial. And the brokers working this market don t expect that to change anytime soon.
