Our student accommodation has twice been ranked first in the UK by the Whatuni Student Choice Awards UEA isn t just an inspiring place to study, it s also a great place to live. Just like our campus, student accommodation at UEA is designed to help you make the most of your time here. UEA is a safe, friendly, comfortable and fun place to live, and all students are guaranteed a room on campus in their first year (subject to conditions). A range of shops, several bars, a collection of eateries, the Sportspark, Drama Studio, Library, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and the LCR live music venue are all within a few minutes walk. Our accommodation includes some award-winning architecture. Norfolk and Suffolk Terraces have been placed in the top 10 best examples of university architecture in the country by The Architects Journal. We offer specially adapted rooms for wheelchair users, with the option of other modifications if you have restricted mobility or need personal support. Similar rooms grouped in 8 or 12-person flats sharing a kitchen/diner are based in Britten, Browne, Colman, Kett, Paston and Victory Houses. Each has its own en suite shower, toilet and wash basin. There are fully accessible bedrooms with large wet rooms within 12-person flats in Britten and Colman Houses. Nelson Court and Constable Terrace offer rooms mainly in 10-person houses arranged on three floors, with a large kitchen and dining area on the ground floor. Located on campus, each flat has a combined kitchen/diner and lounge area, providing opportunities for residents to socialise. Orwell and Wolfson rooms offer a great value option for on-campus living. Two bedroom units are located on the top floors of Nelson Court and Constable Terrace and offer some of the best views on campus. 9 EN SUITE CROME COURT 231 Postgraduate per week (50-WEEK LICENCE ) Crome Court uses 69% of its energy from renewable sources and produces 95% less CO2 than if it were built to normal standards. POSTGRADUATE ONLY This en suite accommodation is located on the main University campus and is solely for postgraduate use. Crome Court flats are clean, light and eco-friendly offering more than enough space for comfortable living. Each room contains plenty of storage, a single bed, and a walk-in bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet and sink. Each flat has shared bathroom and toilet facilities and a large kitchen/diner enjoying stunning views across the Broad. The pyramid-shaped Ziggurats of Norfolk and Suffolk Terraces are among the best-known sights of our campus. Standard single ziggurat floorplan Sharing a room with another student is a great way to save money. Twin rooms are arranged with one bed in a large shared study area and the other in a screened-off area with a wash basin and wardrobe for use by both occupants (see the room plan below). The extra wide desk in the other half of the room is also intended to be shared. You can request to share a room with someone you already know, as long as this person is also eligible for accommodation. Rooms have a pod containing a shower, toilet and wash basin, and are grouped in four, six or eight person flats, each with kitchen/diner. Our en suite Hawthorn, Willow and Pine accommodation has recently been refurbished to a very high standard offering 96 rooms in the University Village. Grouped into 3 buildings these are attractive to students because of their great sense of community. Rooms have a pod containing a shower, toilet and wash basin, and are grouped in eight person flats, each with kitchen/diner. The bus stop to campus is really near and as I have a job in the city it has become more convenient living off campus, not to mention the ability to walk home after a night out! There is a very limited amount of Premier accommodation. To enquire about availability, please contact the Accommodation Office. Layouts vary but all provide two study bedrooms, a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and living area. PREMIER ZIGGURAT FLAT (7 available) These single person flats are located in Norfolk Terrace, with picturesque views over the Broad. The flats have an entrance hall, a bedroom with single bed, a spacious shower room, a lounge/diner with futon and a kitchen area with hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. ONE BEDROOM FLAT (1 available Colman House) The accommodation for this self-contained single person flat includes an entrance lobby, a study area, bedroom with double bed, kitchen/diner, lounge area and a shower room. This offers great value city living and a home away from home experience. You will be given your own private study bedroom in a shared family house. There are different bathroom arrangements; from en suite to sharing with the family or other guests. The majority of homes are within walking distance of the city centre. Homestay offers students the opportunity to practise their English and experience British culture.
