3 About the Accommodation Our Accommodation All our supervised accommodation has breakfast served daily and is part of the room package. To encourage independent living, guidance on cooking and healthy eating is provided. Our optional evening meal plan is served daily and prepared and served by our caterers or on site chefs. Live-in resident assistants and houseparents provide 24 hour support and supervision throughout term time (and ensure residents observe house rules and curfews). A year round enrichment program ensures a range of activities on and off site for the students to get involved in.

10 Host Families Host Family Accommodation pw Host families can accommodate students of all ages. KSS works only with host families the Accommodation Officer has visited personally and deemed suitable for hosting MPW students. Host family accommodation can be a wonderful experience and many students make lifelong friends during their stay. For student safety all members of the host family over the age of 16 are vetted through the Disclosure & Barring Service. Additionally, two written references are taken up for each family. Selected families often continue to host MPW students from one year to another, thereby establishing a sound relationship with KSS and the college. The accommodation team matches students and families carefully and prospective students are given a couple of alternatives, when possible, to choose from. Single occupancy rooms are provided with half-board. Costs vary from per week. Students should be aware that host family accommodation almost always requires a bus or cycle ride to college. Once a student and host family have agreed on a match, payment is arranged and conducted directly between them KSS is not involved with financial agreements or transactions relating to accommodation but remain on hand to support students. Host families set their own price for the accommodation and usually ask for a deposit on arrival. To make sure that we are able to offer the best accommodation possible for our students, all host families are visited and reviewed once a year by the accommodation team and will also contact all students in accommodation once a term to discuss their lodgings.
