5 6950 Moseley Dixon Road - Macon, GA PARK OVERVIEW Lake Tobesofkee Recreation Park Lake Tobesofkee is a man-made recreational lake covering nearly 1,800 acres and is six miles long with a 35 mile shoreline, fed by Tobesofkee Creek. It was built in the 1960 s to control flooding, completed in Lake Tobesofkee Recreation Park consists of three public parks, Sandy Beach, Claystone and Arrowhead. The water park is located in Sandy Beach Park. Parks are staffed and have park rangers. Lake Tobesofkee offers fishing, camping, boating, picnicking and swimming from one of the three white sand beaches. Each Park features covered picnic pavilions, clean and well maintained grounds and ample restroom facilities. Claystone and Sandy Beach Parks have large beaches with children s playgrounds, picnic tables and barbeque grills. The Beaches are topped with pure, white sand during the summer season. Each beach is staffed with lifeguards. Claystone Park offers 45 spacious paved campsites that can accommodate tent or RV campers equipped with electricity (50 amp), water hookups, cable, sewage and a dump station. The comfort station has hot showers and coin operated washers and dryers. Picnic tables and barbeque grills are also Claystone has an enclosed climate controlled pavilion, available for rental, with view of the beach and lake. Claystone is located adjacent to a full service marina and lake-view restaurant. Arrowhead Park offers spacious paved campsites that can accommodate tent or RV campers. It has several miles of single track mountain biking trails. Campground offers full electrical (30 amp) and water hook-ups, as well as disposal stations for sanitary purposes. Lakefront or lakeview sites are available along with boat ramps, clean bath facilities, coin operated laundries and a full-time staff of park rangers. The campground also offers permanent charcoal grills and picnic tables for campers.
