Air Conditioning La Salvia di Berto is a lovely, stylish, comfortable and coloured apartment located in the heart of Lucca's historical centre a few steps from everything you may need. The apartment lies on the first floor of a typical town-house. This means a very easy access with only 18 steps from the street level. I love the style of this apartment. it's Local, it's true, it's original.. and very personalized. The owner has put her heart in her home.. and I hope you could feel it! About the Composition. The apartment consists of an entrance, a living room, a separated fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a double bedroom with a queen sized bed and a smaller room with a single bed and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. From the Kitchen some steps lead to you the terrace. The terrace is furnished with a table and chairs and a couple of sun-chairs. Part of the terrace is covered to enjoy it even when it rains The apartments comes with dish-washer, washing machine and wifi internet connection and air conditioning. About the Location. The apartment is located in via Altogradi, which is the name of a noble family of the 1600's. In this road there used to be the Altogradi family palace, of the end of the XVIth cent., where the jurisconsult Lelio Altogradi used to live, and died in The family was originally from San Miniato, which at the time was under the diocese of Lucca. The Altogradi obtained the citizenship of Lucca from Paolo Guinigi, under the surname of Berto, because at the time it was 'di Berto'. It was only in 1510 that they decided to change their surname to Altogradi. Apart historic information, this street is just round of the corner of Via Fillungo the main shopping street. You find everything you need in few steps... from restaurants, pizzerias, cafes, bar.. to historic sites.. everything is just off your front door. Train Station and the closest parking area is 12/13 minutes walking. Bus station is 10 minutes walking.
