Apartment 1 Bedroom Our one bedroom apartments are perfect for students who prefer to share with a friend or partner or someone just looking for a little more space with the comfort of knowing there are many great communal areas within the property to study or socialize with other residents or friends. Apartment 2 Bedroom Our two bedroom apartments are perfect for students who prefer to share with a friend or partner or someone just looking for a little more space. Apartment Multishare (3, 4, 5 or 6 bedrooms) These apartments are great for students who are looking to share with a group of friends or looking for a more communal style of living with their own private bedroom. LEASE DETAILS Security Deposit A Security Deposit is payable to UniLodge. The amount varies depending on room typ: studio $950, studio double/1 bedrooms $1400 and multishares apartment $800. A Security Deposit is money that the resident pays at the beginning of a tenancy which UniLodge can claim on behalf of the owner if the resident owes money for rent, damages, ANU - KINLOCH LODGE FACTSHEET 2

3 or other costs at the end of the tenancy. The Security Deposit is not the same as paying rent in advance. The Security Deposit will be refunded to the resident once the apartment is vacated and is in good condition following the completion of the Exit Condition Report. Contracts (length) 48 weeks, ending the 31 st of December or 52 weeks, ending the 31 st of January. APARTMENT INCLUSIONS & FEATURES Air-conditioning Each apartment features a wall-mounted air-conditioner perfect for those warm summer Australian nights! Bathroom Private ensuite bathroom in Studio and 1 bedroom apartments. Multishare apartments have shared bathrooms. Bedrooms Secure Electronic With your security and safety in mind, access to your floor and apartment is via swipe card. Cleaning Apartments Don t like cleaning? That s ok! For an additional fee we can assist in organising a regular clean of your apartment so you have more time to hit the books, mingle with your friends in the great common areas, or explore Canberra! Dining Table & Chairs A dining table and chairs are included in our 1 & 2 bedroom apartments & and multi-share apartments, so you can sit down and enjoy a home cooked meal in the comfort of your own apartment. Electricity Your electricity usage and connection is included in your utilities each week. Heating Each apartment features a heater for those days when it gets a little too cool for comfort in your apartment. Internet Your Internet usage and connection is included in your utilities each week. Study Desk, Study Chair & Desk Lamp for each person All of these key essentials are included in your apartment for your academic needs. Televisions Each apartment features a flat screen TV. Water Your water connection and usage is included in rent no need to pay bills at the end of each month! Other Inclusions Queen or King Single bed; built-in wardrobe & full length mirror; blinds to every bedroom window. PROPERTY FEATURES & FACILITIES Barbeque BBQ facilities are located in the court yard of the property enjoy a BBQ with your friends, or prepare dinner for one. The BBQ is electric and free for all residents to use. Broadband Wi-Fi Broadband Connection The property features high speed wireless broadband throughout the main common areas of the building. 5 Bike Space Bike racks are available to all residents and are located at the side of the property. Building Security Resident safety is number one priority for UniLodge management. The property features secure access to the building no one can enter the building without swipe card access or in the company of a resident or staff. Car Park Unfortunately there is no car park available at the property. Cinema Check out all of the latest movies at Dendy Cinemas City Centre or Palace Electric both only a few minutes walk away. We also have a theatre room available in Kinloch Lodge and Lena Karmel Lodge. Cleaning Common Areas (not inside apartments) Providing our residents with a clean and welcoming environment is essential, and we do this by ensuring that the cleaning of our common areas is of a high standard. Common Areas ANU features some great common areas with a resident lounge with TV, study rooms, dining tables and chairs; convection/microwave ovens. Community Spirit Program The program offers a great range of activities & events ranging from day trips (Perisher Valley, Floriade, Canberra Zoo, UniLodge Ball), BBQs, dinners, helping charities, game competitions and much more! See the Community Spirit Program page for upcoming events and to secure a spot. Community Spirit Program membership is paid annually. Gym, Pool, Sauna Gym facilities are available on the ground floor of Lena Karmel Lodge, only a short walk away. Canberra Olympic Pool is only an 8 minute walk away. Laundry Room The laundry room includes both washing machines and dryers. Access to the laundry is available 24/7, so you can do your washing at any time of the day. The laundry room also includes ironing facilities. Mail Boxes A mail box is located behind reception for each apartment. You are able to collect your mail any time during reception hours. On-site Staff Our on-site friendly customer service focused staff will be available offering general assistance, counselling, and pastoral care services you will always have someone there for you. 6 Photocopying & Printing If you need to make a photocopy or print off an assignment, one of our friendly customer service staff at reception can assist charges apply. Public Transport The property is in a great location with close access to public transport. It is a quick 5 minute walk to the central bus interchange. Shops, Restaurants & Cafes There is an array of cafes and restaurants to suit everyone s taste buds, from a 2 minute walk away. Located within a 10 minute walk is the Canberra Centre Shopping centre which offers a distinctive collection of over 50 retailers which include fashion outlets and micro boutiques with labels from London to Shanghai, a true global shopping experience.
