2 WELCOME Georgia Tech s two graduate housing facilities 10th and Home and the Graduate Living Center are perfect for graduate students and families looking for the convenience of on-campus housing along with the flexibility of off-campus apartments. Georgia Tech housing has something for everyone! The Department of Housing is committed to providing students the very best in housing programs, services and resources. Living on campus will allow you to experience everything Georgia Tech has to offer. DEAR GRADUATE STUDENT Congratulations on your acceptance to the Georgia Institute of Technology. We would like to welcome you to our Atlanta campus and let you know a few things about your graduate housing options for next year. This brochure highlights both our single and family housing options. For example: a single student can choose to share a two or four-person furnished apartment with other single graduate students or live alone in a one-bedroom unfurnished apartment. Married couples can choose a one or two-bedroom unfurnished apartment. Families with three or four members can live in an unfurnished two-bedroom unit. Rent for unfurnished apartments is paid monthly. Rent for furnished apartments is paid at the beginning of each semester. With all of these options we hope you make on-campus housing your home. Two graduate students (same gender) will share the best of both worlds the luxury of off-campus living without the worry of filling an apartment with your own furniture! Each apartment features private bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining area and a full-size washer and dryer. 8 APPLICATION PROCEDURES To apply for housing go to housing.gatech.edu and choose My Housing. Within the gold banner on the Students home page, you will see Application and Family-Monthly Application. If you are applying for a furnished shared graduate apartment choose Application. You will need to make a $600 prepayment if NOT currently living on campus. Fill out the online application. Select your room and assign yourself if you apply by May 1. Return to My Housing to view your assignment status. If you are applying for an unfurnished one or two-bedroom apartment (rent paid monthly), choose Family-Monthly Application.
