The availability of a young talented workforce emerging from the National University of Ireland, Galway and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology is one of many factors attracting inward foreign direct investment to the city in addition to its accessibility to the capital Dublin and the north and south of the country. Galway has become established as a prominent location within the growing Med-Tech sector over the past two decades which is further underpinned by accommodating two of Ireland's Top 15 exporters in the form of Boston Scientific Ireland and Medtronic Ireland whom continue to grow and expand their operations in the city. The economic success of the city has been driven in part by the presence of two third level educational institutions coupled with significant indigenous growth with the medical technology sector to incorporate the emergence and growth of significant homegrown industry in the form of companies such as Creaganna Medical, Crospon Engineering and Fintrax. In addition, Galway City has a vibrant cultural, arts and entertainment scene and has recently been designated European Capital of Culture, Transport Links Transport infrastructure in the immediate area is strong with the property situated approximately 200m south-west of the N6 Bothar na dtreabh Corridor and its junction with the N17 (Galway-Sligo) National Primary route. The N6 Corridor is the primary inner urban orbital route providing access to both the western and eastern suburbs of Galway City in addition to onward connection to the M6 (Galway - Dublin) Motorway approximately 4.5 km east of the subject property and the N18 (Galway - Limerick/Cork) National Primary route approximately 10 km south-west of the property.
