Included with this letter is my resume which highlights my 30 years of experience in the architectural profession. I have been an AIA member since 1996, serving as Springfield Section President in 2000 and Champaign Urbana Section President in 2015 and I feel my prior experience will be beneficial as the newly formed Prairie Chapter continues to complete its transformation serving the majority of AIA members in this state. In my 18 year career as an architect, project manager and design professional has encompassed a wide variety of both private and public projects throughout the State of Illinois and Missouri. I have been actively involved in the AIA for a large portion of my professional career. I have provided design services, cost estimating, production, marketing, project management and construction of K-12 Education, Higher Education, Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, Municipal, Telecommunications and Residential facilities. My passion and commitment to the architectural profession can be measured by the robust client relationships I have developed over the years. My ability to work with multiple disciplines at numerous levels of evolvement have produced extremely successful outcomes for both clients and the various firms I have worked with. The project consists of removal of existing built-up, metal and membrane roofing systems and installation of new insulated metal roof panels and fully adhered EPDM roofing systems. 6 High School Demolition, Bradford CUSD No. I Abandoned High School, Bradford, Illinois Architect for demolition of the original existing 1929 school building which was abandoned in Fire Alarm Upgrades, Bradford CUSD No. I Grade School and Jr. High School, Bradford, Illinois Architect for a fire alarm upgrade project at both the existing grade school and junior high facilities. The project consists of removal and replacement of the antiquated existing fire alarm systems, selective exiting and electrical equipment with new systems. The project is scheduled for completion in August Total estimated project cost is $65K. Domestic Water Upgrades, Bradford CUSD No. I Grade School, Bradford, Illinois Architect for a domestic water and toilet room upgrade project at the existing grade school facilities. The project consists of removal and replacement of the deteriorated galvanized water piping with a combination of copper and PEX piping systems, installation of selective new plumbing fixtures and new toilet partitions. The project is scheduled for completion in August Total estimated project cost is $110K. John F. Kennedy Middle School, Spring Valley CCSD No. 99, Spring Valley, Illinois Project Architect for conceptual and preliminary design of a new 77,000 square foot middle school addition to the existing elementary school. In addition to design, Mr. Leggans assisted the district in securing funding thru the School Construction Grant Program in conjunction with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Capital Development Board (CDB). The project incorporates new administration, support services, kitchen, 5 th thru 8 th grade classrooms, gymnasium, multi-purpose room and stage and was completed in August Total project cost was $17M. New Berlin Elementary School, New Berlin CUSD No. 16, New Berlin, Illinois Project Architect for design and construction of a new 90,000 square foot elementary school. Mr. Leggans was responsible for feasibility studies, referendum campaign assistance, design, construction documentation, bidding and negotiations, construction administration, project management and closeout. The facility incorporates geothermal heating and cooling, insulated precast wall systems, low-maintenance flooring systems, energy-efficient lighting and plumbing fixtures and building automation controls. The elementary school houses early childhood, kindergarten, general purpose classrooms (K-5), special programming classrooms, library, computer lab, art, music and administration areas and was completed in Total project cost was $13M. High School Building Addition and Renovation, Casey-Westfield CUSD C-4, Casey, Illinois Designer for a 33,000 square foot building addition. Mr. Leggans provided programming and design services. The project required partial demolition of the existing 1917 high school and renovation of the existing 1958 building façade..describe your role in the project. Include a brief description of the project, cost and size if possible. The project was completed in 2009 and total project cost was $5M. Washington Middle School HVAC Upgrade, Springfield Public Schools 186, Springfield, Illinois Project manager for a multi-year project that included removal of the existing boiler system and installation of a new geothermal heating and cooling system. Mr. Leggans was responsible for design and coordination of all disciplines during both design and construction. The project was completed in 2013 and total project cost was $8M. Lawrence Education Center, Springfield Public Schools 186, Springfield, Illinois Project manager for numerous HLS building improvements including: roof replacement, masonry restoration, foundation waterproofing, boiler upgrades and ADA entrance upgrades. The projects began in 2009 and were completed in 2012 with the total project upgrade cost of $1.6M. Dubois Elementary School, Springfield Public Schools 186, Springfield, Illinois Project manager for numerous HLS building improvements: roof replacement, window replacement, asbestos abatement and fire alarm upgrade. Mr. Leggans was responsible for design, construction documents, construction administration, on-site observation, client communications and coordination of all disciplines during all design and construction phases. The projects began in 2010 and were completed in 2012 with the total project cost of $1M. Feitshans Elementary School, Springfield Public Schools 186, Springfield, Illinois Project manager for HVAC replacement, masonry restoration and asbestos abatement. Mr. Leggans was responsible for design, construction documents, construction administration, on-site observation, client communications and coordination of all disciplines during all design and construction phases. The projects began in 2010 and were completed in 2011 with the total project cost of $3.5M. Lincoln Magnet School, Springfield Public Schools 186, Springfield, Illinois Project manager for cornice replacement work. Mr. Leggans was responsible for design, construction documents, construction administration, on-site observation, client communications and coordination of all disciplines during all design and construction phases. The project was completed in 2012 with the total project cost of $200K. Science Lab Renovation, Rock Falls High School TS District No. 301, Rock Falls, Illinois Project manager for renovation of an existing science laboratory including demolition and asbestos abatement. Mr. Leggans was responsible for design, construction documents, construction administration, on-site observation, client communications and coordination of all disciplines during all design and construction phases. The project was completed in 2012 with the total project cost of $180K. Window Replacement, Palmyra School District CUSD No. 2, Palmyra, Illinois Project manager for asbestos abatement, demolition and installation of new thermally broken window systems. Mr. Leggans was responsible for field verification and measurement, documentation of existing conditions, execution and overseeing of construction bid documents. The project was completed in Eureka High School Band Addition, Eureka CUSD No. 140, Eureka, Illinois Project designer and draftsmen for a new building addition. Mr. Leggans was responsible for execution of construction bid documents. The project incorporated acoustic design analysis and toilet facilities for the adjacent athletic track and football field. The project was completed in Higher Education Methodist College Relocation, Unity Point Health Methodist College, Peoria, Illinois Project Architect for renovation of approximately 80,000 square feet of an existing 127,000 retail building to accommodate relocation of the Methodist College of Nursing from downtown Peoria. 8 suit the needs and growing demands of the college s 600 student population as well as allow for future expansion. The project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2016 with the total estimate project cost of $9M. Brookens Library Window Replacement, University of Illinois Springfield, Illinois Project manager for asbestos abatement, demolition and installation of new thermally broken window systems. Mr. Leggans was responsible for design, construction documents and coordination of all disciplines during all design and construction phases. In order to improve energy efficiency of the existing building envelope, a new thermally broken, structurally reinforced aluminum framing system was installed with tinted, insulating, low-e glazing and composite wall panels. The project was completed in 2009 with the total project cost of $2M. Renovation Work to WREC Lincoln Land Community College Jacksonville, Illinois Project manager for design and construction for renovation of existing interior office spaces into separate new classrooms, laboratories, reception area, and bookstore. The laboratories themselves specifically included the following amenities: fume hood, incubator, autoclave and ventilated solvent storage casework. The project also included the following work: roof penetrations, audio/visual equipment, daylighting controls, movable partitions, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and fire protection systems. Health Science Building Laboratory Remodeling, University of Illinois Springfield, Illinois Project manager for design and construction of a new laboratory which included demolition of existing classrooms and offices as well as the reconfiguration of existing laboratory space into two new experimental teaching labs and two new research labs. Work for this project included new partitions, ceilings, flooring, doors, hardware, casework and all associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. Sunflower Court Housing Roof Replacement, University of Illinois - Springfield Project manager for design and construction of roofing replacement work at several existing student housing facilities. Roof Replacement SIU School of Medicine Springfield, Illinois Project manager for evaluation of existing conditions, design and construction services for approximately 44,000 square feet of roofing replacement over the existing research lab and library facilities. Sangamon Auditorium Stage Floor Replacement, University of Illinois - Springfield Project manager for design and construction of a new theatrical wood flooring system. Public Housing Kings Court Development, Abundant Faith Christian Center, Springfield, Illinois Project Architect for design of rehabilitation of 18 existing units including interior modernization and upgrades, 4 new single-family residences and various site improvements. The project included coordination and management of the design team to secure Low-Income Housing Tax Credits as the primary funding source. Housing Authority of Greene County Project manager and designer for a 504 Handicap Accessibility Modifications projects. Mr. Leggans worked on a team of consultants to secure Low-Income Housing Tax Credits for various accessibility and site improvements at over 10 separate facilities in Greene County. The project was awarded funding in 2011 and construction was completed in Page 5 of 8

9 Housing Authority of Jersey County Project manager for various improvements to low income and section 8 housing facilities. Mr. Leggans was responsible for supervision and production of bidding documents including: window replacements, interior remodeling, accessibility upgrades and improvements, roof replacements and landscaping. These projects spanned over several years beginning in 2008 thru Sunflower Court Housing Roof Replacement, University of Illinois - Springfield Project manager for roof replacement and exterior upgrades. Mr. Leggans was responsible for management of construction administration and on-site observation. The project was completed in Springfield Housing Authority Hildebrandt High-rise Project manager for entrance remodeling and exterior renovations. Mr. Leggans was responsible for management of construction administration and on-site observation. The facility houses a mix of approximately 151 seniors and persons with disabilities. The project was completed in Manteno Veterans Home Project manager for a complete renovation of an existing 1950 s vintage assisted living unit into a homeless veterans facility. Mr. Leggans was responsible for coordination with State of Illinois agencies, preparation of drawings, specifications and cost estimates required for design and funding approval. The project was completed in LaSalle Veterans Home Project manager and draftsmen and for a new building addition to an existing facility. The addition is composed of a 40 Skilled Nursing and a 40 bed Alzheimer s wing. Mr. Leggans was responsible for preparation of design and bidding documents. The project was completed in Capital Development Board CDB # , Quigley Hall and Engineering Building Roof Replacement SIU Carbondale Project manager for roofing systems replacement totaling approximately 63,000 square feet on two separate building facilities located on the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale campus. Work was comprised of complete replacement on 10 separate roof areas where the existing ballasted EPDM and built-up roofing systems were removed down to the existing roof decking and replaced with new fully adhered TPO membrane and insulation systems. Work was complete in 2012 in the amount of approximately $1.3 million. CDB # , Camp Lincoln Replace Roof / Exterior Repairs Warehouse, Camp Lincoln, Springfield for the Department of Military Affairs Project manager for an exterior renovation project that included selective demolition, asbestos abatement, replacement and tuck pointing of the existing exterior masonry walls, replacement of existing single pane & steel sash windows with new insulated translucent wall panels and replacement of the deteriorated single-ply roofing system with a new sloped structural steel truss support assembly and standing seam metal roofing system. Work was completed in 2011 in the amount of approximately $500,000. CDB # , Department of Natural Resources Replace Roofing Systems & Quonset Hut, Hidden Springs State Forest Project manager for roofing systems replacement on various buildings as well as demolition of an existing Quonset hut structure and construction of a new pole building. 10 CDB # , Office of the Attorney General Springfield, Illinois Project manager for a masonry stone restoration project which included chemical based cleaning of all existing limestone building surfaces and removal and replacement of all exterior sealant joints. Work was completed in 2007 in the amount of approximately $100,000. Illinois Department of Transportation Illinois Department of Natural Resources Fire Station Roof Replacement, Illinois State Fairgrounds Springfield, Illinois Project manager for a roofing replacement project including removal of a deteriorated asphalt shingled roofing system and installation of a new concealed fastener, standing seam metal roofing system. Commercial/Office ATS Feasibility Study, Advanced Technology Services, Inc., Peoria, Illinois Architectural Manager for a feasibility study evaluating access, configuration, circulation and required spaces within the building and property currently under lease. This study provides a comprehensive analysis identifying both positive and negative aspects of the existing facility and illustrates suggestions for improvements. Several test-fit options were also presented based on the Owner s request to explore what options alternative buildings and properties would provide. The study was completed in 2015 and improvement costs are anticipated at $5.2M. Trefzger s Feasibility Study, Trefzger s Bakery, Peoria Heights, Illinois Architectural Manager for a feasibility study to relocate Trefzger s Bakery. The study evaluates relocation from its current location at 3504 N. Prospect, Peoria, Illinois to a proposed new location also on Prospect but to the north in Peoria Heights. Their existing facility is approximately 6,000 square feet in area where the proposed new facility is 12,000 square feet and would allow future expansion and/or other retail tenants to share either or both the basement and second floor spaces. The study was completed in 2015, renovation is expected to be completed late in 2016 with improvement costs anticipated at $4M. State Farm HQ Servery and Dining Room Upgrades, State Farm, Bloomington, Illinois Architect for design build services for renovation and enhancement of the main food service and dining areas at Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois. The project includes development of a comprehensive overall design and implementation over a 2 year period to provide new walls, ceilings, flooring, casework, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, audio/visual, fire suppression, fire detection and food service equipment. The project began in 2016 and is scheduled for completion in 2018 for an estimated cost of approximately $7M State Farm Park Tennis Court Restroom/Office Facility, State Farm, Bloomington, Illinois Architect for design/build services to replace a restroom and office facility serving the existing tennis courts. The project includes demolition of two existing structures, site improvements and construction of a new masonry building. Construction is expected to be completed in Summer 2016 for an estimated cost of approximately $500K. State Farm IOC Kitchen and Dining Update, State Farm, Bloomington, Illinois Architectural Manager for coordination of a Kitchen and Dining renovation project that including the outtakes, food service, dish washing, hot food preparation and dining areas. The project has been separated into multiple phases to allow continued operation and use of a temporary serving area has been coordinated. The project was completed in Spring of 2016 for an estimated cost of approximately $6M. Page 7 of 8

11 Building AD Dining Center Remodel, Caterpillar, East Peoria, Illinois Project Manager for design and coordination of a 12,000 square foot Dining Center renovation project that included serving, dining and kitchen areas. A temporary serving area was coordinated and the project was separated into phases to allow continued operation and use. The project was finished in 2015 for an estimated cost of approximately $4.5M. State Farm Park - Beach House Facilities, State Farm, Bloomington, Illinois Project Manager for schematic and design development of a new 25,000 square foot facility incorporating locker rooms, kitchen and dining, meeting rooms and conference center. The building cantilevers out over the lake and compliments a family aquatic area. Design development was completed in The entire project was finished in 2008 for an estimated cost of approximately $25M. Healthcare OSF SFMC EC Chilled Water Upgrade, OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois Architectural Manager for a project incorporating both chiller replacement work and installation of a new air / dirt separator system. The project required construction of a new building addition in order to allow relocation of the existing Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment system and is being completed in multiple phases with anticipated completion in Signet Health & Wellness Center, Bloomington, Illinois Architectural specifications for a new medical office building facility. The Facility is a 105,000 square foot Center for Integrated Wellness and is a state-of-the-art health and wellness facility designed to deliver customer care, connected medical services, preventative health programs, fitness and sports performance training to the community. The project is scheduled for completion in the Summer of 2016 for an estimated cost of approximately $35M. ABMC 1967 Wing Plumbing Upgrades Advocate BroMenn, Normal, Illinois Project Management and architectural specifications for coordination of demolition and new construction required to replace deteriorated plumbing within the 1967 Wing of the existing 4 story facility. ABOC 2 nd Floor Building & Stair Addition, Advocate BroMenn, Bloomington, Illinois Architectural Manager providing quality control and coordination for a second floor build-out and egress stair tower addition to an existing medical office building.
