2 HELLO Dear Sponsors & Industry Par tners, Can you believe that 2018 is almost here? It seems like just yesterday I was writing the 2017 Sponsorship Drive Welcome Letter was another incredible year for The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the International Interior Design Association! We maintained Large Chapter Status, hosted our largest and most fabulous Pret a Porter to date, introduced RockCon Post-NeoCon Expo & Conference with wild success, and last but not least, were awarded an Innovation Award for our cooperation with ASID and CIDC on Advocacy issues! As always, none of this would be possible without the generous support of our Sponsors. Hip, Hip, Hooray! In 2013 we revamped the Sponsorship Menu in order to stabilize our yearly budget and ensure that our Sponsors were getting the most out of their contribution. In 2016 we took some time to validate that our Sponsors felt they were getting the value they expected and to understand how we can better serve our IIDA community through Sponsorship. We made additions to the Sponsor A La Carte Menu that we felt reflected those. Either we were off the mark with those changes or we didn t promote them well enough, because there was very little interest. The lack of interest lead us to evaluate the A La Carte menu as a whole and after much thought and discussion, we decided that it was no longer serving its purpose. So, in 2018, we will finalize the changes began in 2013 and move to an entirely Level Based Sponsorship. In addition, we have made one big change to the Level Sponsors: We will discontinue the Copper Level Sponsorship and will reduce the Bronze Level Sponsorship to $1,000 from $1,500. We hope that this will inspire new Sponsors and create some capital for our Bronze Sponsors to be more involved in Through the Lens, the Golf Tournament, and RockCon. Our intention is to further the profession of Interior Design, educate our members, and encourage their professional growth within the industry. In addition to our excellent premier events, we donate annually to various local charities selected by our top sponsors, advocate on behalf of the industry, and sponsor designers to go to Neocon through our IIDA RMC Educational Fund in Honor of Pam Weeks. 4 WHAT S NEW THIS YEAR? NO MORE COMMITTMENT FORM Please help me in welcoming IIDA RMC into the 21st century! We will no longer use a Committment Form at the end of the Sponsorship Menu. We will be using Eventbrite during our Sponsorship Drive to record committments. Once the Sponsorship Drive has closed, we will issue Invoices with instructions on how to pay. You may still pay via credit card or check. GOODBYE TO THE A LA CARTE MENU In an effort to streamline our Sponsorship Menu for ease of use and understandability, we have decided to discountinue our À La Carte Menu. In the past, Sponsors we able to secure a team at our premier events through the À La Carte menu. Now we will open registration up to Sponsors first, so you will still have first priority. If you have any questions, please contact Kate Chapman. SINGLE TICKET CODE For the year 2018, Sponsors will receive one code to retrieve tickets for Through the Lens and BESTawards, as well as for use in discounts for the RockCon Post Neocon Expo & Conference. This will allow Sponsors to retrieve tickets as soon as the tickets are available. This code will be delievered once payment is received. IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter Education Fund In Honor of Pam Weeks Pam Weeks was an IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter board member. To say she was a vibrant piece of the Rocky Mountain Chapter and our design community would be an understatement. Her positive attitude, authenticity, and magnetic personality made everyone want to be around her. Pam was one of those rare bright lights who proved that there is goodness and strength in this world. Pam was always looking for ways to give back and provide a positive impact to our design community. One of Pam s favorite annual industry events was NeoCon in Chicago she loved learning, seeing all the new products and networking. For several years Pam sponsored designers to attend NeoCon with her. In Pam s honor, we will continue to pay it forward by sending two deserving IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter members annually to NeoCon to grow, learn, and enrich themselves as a design professional.
