2 I love being VP of Industry Relations (formerly called VP of Partnerships). It enables me to interact with you, our valued patrons. You re the reason we re able to do what we do. In 2016, thanks to your support, we deepened our advocacy knowledge, refined our patronage program, brought back the well-loved Finish2Fashion event, and were able to hold many Third Thursdays, giving designers an opportunity to network, hear advocacy updates, and stay connected within our chapter. In addition, we were able to launch a new event; CEU Palooza was a well received success. We started small, gained valuable feedback from those who participated and attended, and we ll be doing it again - even better - in We re happy to present to you the 2017 Patron Package. Here you ll find a simplified set of options, some great events outlined, and some new additions to the recognition we give to you. Your patronage is so valued by us; your investment in the IIDA Michigan Chapter gives you recognition on our website, social media channels, e-blasts, newsletters, and all chapter events, and supports excellence in the following areas of focus : Professional Development: Leadership participation in symposiums with other Chapters from around the nation to learn about and share best practices, procedures, as well as activities they have planned; gain insight on IIDA Headquarters focus in the coming months Education: Events that include CEUs and NCIDQ study groups; Student Campus Center Support for Chapters in Michigan Colleges Universities with interior design programs; competition funds for outstanding student design work Advocacy: Forums to educate our Associate and Student Members on the importance of the NCIDQ; participation in symposiums to stay current in the understanding and support of recognition and legislation as it pertains to the interior design profession Outreach: Community involvement (which has included food drives, Habitat for Humanity, and clothing drives), as well as fun and exciting gatherings for the A+D Community Our Chapter focus is in support of IIDA Headquarters overall mission: IIDA, with respect for past accomplishments of Interior Design leaders, strives to create a strong niche for the most talented and visionary Interior Design professionals, to elevate the profession to the level it warrants, and to lead the way for the next generation of Interior Design innovators. The Association provides a forum to demonstrate design professionals impact on the health, safety, well being and virtual soul of the public, balancing passion for good design and strategy for best business practices. IIDA stands at the intersection of passion and strategy where designers create extraordinary interiors and experiences.

4 Whats New this Year? We ve simplified our patronage levels, offering fewer levels to make your selection easier. We ve held the pricing for the levels we ve kept! Now, you can be at the highest level for a lower cost. We re offering more exposure! We re excited to offer our patrons the opportunity to be recognized right on our homepage (in addition to our patron page). We ll also be doing deeper article highlights in our newsletter. You may have noticed a language adjustment. As partnership is a legal term, our friends at IIDA headquarters have advised that we adjust our verbiage. We think patron is a perfect fit for the way you support what we do. Three ways to leverage your patronage: Join us! As a patron, you have tickets to major events (depending on your level). These are your opportunities to have access to many designers in one place. Please come and network with our members! Participate! We give our patrons first right of refusal for participation in CEU Palooza, and first right of refusal for hosting Third Thursdays. Offer up your expertise and get in front of designers! Get social! Follow us, and when we recognize you on our social media platforms, share it! We re so proud to be affiliated with our patrons. We love being able to give you publicity in exchange for your support. Share our posts that mention you, and forward the newsletters that contain articles about you.
