The irrigation well reportedly yields an estimated flow of 795 GPM with standing water level at 256 FT, and pumping water level at 288 FT, with the pump currently set at 300 FT deep. This property is also located within the boundairies of Rosedale Rio-Bravo Water Storage District (RRBWSD) in northwestern Kern County. The District was formed in 1962, primarily with the purpose to recharge the groundwater supply for the lands in the District. Historically, RRBWSD water supply has come from the State Water Project (SWP) via a water supply contract with Kern County Water Agency, the Kern River via the Kern River Agreement as well as other supplies including temporary contracts with the Bureau of Reclamation for Friant-Kern floodwaters, Kern River flood flows, and spot-market water purchases. On behalf of RRBWSD, the property is subject to an annual assessment of $52.50 per acre of real property that is billed by the District with the Kern County Assessor s office property tax roll. 7 SOIL STORIE INDEX The Storie Index is a soil rating based on soil properties that govern a soil s potential for cultivated agriculture in California. Sullivan Rd The Storie Index assesses the productivity of a soil from the following four characteristics: Factor A, degree of soil profile development; factor B, texture of the surface layer; factor C, slope; and factor X, manageable features, including drainage, microrelief, fertility, acidity, erosion, and salt content.
