Quality of Life Matters: Growing population seeking increasing leisure opportunities Increased QoL facilities identified as need throughout various plans going back to the 90s and reinforced during BIG Picture Access to art and recreation is a critical quality-of-life metric Only option for many entertainment preferences is out-of-town; making this live music inaccessible to many of our citizens Investment in arts and cultural infrastructure is an economic development driver; growing QoL = workforce development

Economic Development: Leisure spending & Tourism = Jobs: Can grow the Huntsville & North Alabama music industry; serving as a regional anchor within the industry with connection to the Americana Music Triangle Worldwide, $28.8 B industry by 2020; already $126M in HSV with capacity to grow (already approx. 1,270 jobs) Elevates our arts scene providing spin-off to other public and private venues Can serve as an immediate activity driver around its location preserving and growing jobs critical to City revenue streams 59% of concert-goers plan pre- and/or post-event activities driving business to surrounding restaurants Keeps our travel dollars home and attracts travelers to our community Tourists spend 4 times as much as local residents on retail/f&b

Direct access from US 72 and new entrance ramp from Research Park Blvd (SR-255). Easy access to/from I-565.
