2 Riccardo Tossani Architecture The recipient of several awards, Riccardo Tossani and RTA`s work is recognized internationally and is regularly published in leading design journals around the world. RTA is a design-oriented, full service design firm with expertise in master planning, urban design, architecture and interior design. Our work is founded on research with the goal of understanding regional history, culture and environment. We strive to develop new architectural vocabularies that are contemporary and forward looking, and a reflection of vernacular history and tradition. We practice social as well as environmental sustainability, and believe in planning that integrates local communities as an effective resource. Established in Tokyo in 1997, Riccardo Tossani Architecture has provided the full range of design services on a wide variety of projects in both Japan and abroad. Our staff is composed of internationally trained Japanese and foreign architects with extensive experience in resort, hotel, residential, and commercial design and planning. They are led by design principal Riccardo Tossani, a graduate of Harvard University`s renowned Graduate School of Design, with over three decades of professional experience on a variety of projects around the world.
