2 RISK: The risk is approximately 25 years old and maintained in average condition. The two story, single family risk is of frame construction with a metal roof. The risk is located in a residential, rural neighborhood. The occupancy status is vacant. CAUSE OF LOSS: THEFT: Unknown person(s) have removed permanently affixed items from the risk. FIRE: A fire of unknown cause has caused damage to ceilings, walls, flooring, framing, counter tops, and cabinets. SUMMARY OF NEIGHBORHOOD CANVASS, INSPECTION REPORTS, UTILITY CHECK, ETC: CONTACT: Steve Marquis MCS NEIGHBORHOOD CANVASS: 4962 Cline Rd No one was home at the time of my inspection. UTILITY CHECK: Georgia Power No information was given due to privacy laws. The electric was off at the time of my inspection. POLICE REPORT: Resaca Police Department 330 Walker St NW Resaca, GA (706) No reports could be located for this location. INSPECTION REPORTS: Inspection reports show the prior borrower to be Sherry D Voyles. The initial secure of the risk was on 3/31/2014. The FTV date is shown to be 4/4/2014. No photos were provided in the inspection reports. The narrative states that there is mold throughout from fire.

3 WINTERIZATION: There was no sign of winterization at the time of my inspection. PRIOR BORROWER IDENTITIY: I was unable to locate forwarding contact information for Ms. Voyles. MAINTAINING OF HEAT: No heat was being maintained at the time of my inspection. PRIOR INSURANCE: The prior insurance is stated to be Allstate, policy The Allstate policy was replaced due to REO on 8/23/2013. ISO REPORT: There are no matching claims within the ISO Report. FIRE DEPARTMENT: Gordon County Fire-Rescue Headquarters 400 Belwood Rd. SE Calhoun, GA This small town is serviced by a volunteer fire department. I contacted the Gordon Co. Fire Rescue, and was advised that they did service Cline Road, but not as far north as the address They referred me to Whitfield County. Whitfield County Jurisdiction 804 Professional Blvd Dalton GA I spoke to Kim Richards, who confirmed that they responded to a fire at this risk location on 2/21/2014. Ms. Richards ed a Freedom of Information Request form, which I have completed and returned to her attention. I will forward the report upon receipt. ADJUSTER'S OBSERVATION: The risk was secure and maintained in average condition. Two different losses were found at the risk. There are damages as a result of theft and fire. Unknown person(s) have removed plumbing, vanity, light fixture, handrails, wiring, dishwasher, towel bars, and toilet paper holders. A fire that originated in the 2 nd floor has caused damage to flooring, ceilings, walls, framing, fixtures, cabinets and counter tops. There is smoke and water damage throughout the property. I have prepared an estimate of damages observed at the time of my inspection. There is damage to roof framing from fire. The roof is made up of metal roofing and two layers of shingles. Some of the roofing will need to be removed to repair the damaged roof framing. No broker information was provided for this loss. There may be additional damages found once repairs are underway. However, only theft or fire related damages should be considered. My estimate excludes mold. My estimate excludes unmitigated damages, as the risk has not been dried out since the fire.

4 REOPEN INSTRUCTIONS: Please reopen the file to hire an engineer to complete and origin and cause investigation. ADJUSTER S REOPEN COMMENTS: Per your request I retained the services of Donan Engineering Co to determine the cause and origin of the fire that occurred at the loss location. I met with John Hill from Donan to provide access to the property. Attached is the full report from Donan. In summary, based on what is known at this time, I am of the opinion that: The origin of the fire is the southwest corner of the second-level hallway. The ignition source causing the fire is consistent with a handheld open flame device. The classification of the cause of the fire is Incendiary. A suspect has been located by Detective Jeff Wells with the Whitfield County Sheriff s Department. I made a second visit to the property to allow access to fire investigator John Hill. I did a walk through the property and discovered that someone has gutted one of the exterior AC units. This damage was not present during my original inspection on 4/21/2014. I have prepared an estimate for new damages observed on my second visit to the property. ADJUSTMENT SUMMARY: After review of prior loss photos, it was noted the furnace in the attic was missing and not included in the estimate of repairs. I have revised my estimate to include the furnace in the theft 1 estimate. VERIFICATION OF DATE DAMAGE OCCURRED TO THE PROPERTY: The date of loss provided on the loss notice is 04/04/2014. It did appear that the theft occurred first, at an undetermined time. The fire loss does appear recent, as the risk has not dried out with time. Also, the fire banners are still laying in the yard. The fire department did confirm the date of the fire as 2/21/2014. I am unable to confirm the date of loss for the theft. I do not see evidence to connect the theft with the fire. The date of loss for the new damages occurred between 4/21/2014 and 5/23/2014. The date of loss for the fire occurred within your policy period. ADJUSTMENT: I inspected the damages and prepared the attached estimate of repairs. The borrower was not present at the time of my inspection. Since this is a manuscript, all risk, replacement cost policy, no depreciation has been applied to this loss.

MUNICIPALITY WITHHOLDING: Municipality withholding does not apply to this loss. SALVAGE/SUBROGATION: There is little to no salvage value for the damaged materials. There is no known subrogation potential for this loss as the cause of the fire is not being investigated.

8 CAUSE AND ORIGIN: I had not previously recommended a cause and origin, as the date of loss had not been confirmed to be within the policy period. It appears the fire started upstairs. The only source of fire in the upstairs would be wiring, and I was unable to confirm when the electric was terminated. The alternate source of fire would involve human activity. I recommend a cause and origin investigation to try and determine the cause of loss, as there is no investigation by the fire department. REMARKS: Should you have any questions or need further adjustment activity on this claim, please do not hesitate to contact me.
