1 At Belfast City Hospital Tower Block: 6 easy steps to the Northern Ireland Clinical Research Facility Option One: Access via Front Entrance of Belfast City Hospital The NICRF is located on the U Floor (University floor) of the Belfast City Hospital Tower Block. At the ground floor entrance, keep to the left and walk past Enquiries and Respiratory Physio. Continue to walk along past the wall of artwork and through the set of glass doors, to the Passenger Lifts. In the lift, press the U button. Once you alight from the lift on the U Floor, turn right and follow the red and white sign to the right, to Reception. At end of the corridor, at the double doors, press the buzzer for access to the Reception area. Option Two: Access via Rear Door of Belfast City Hospital, if coming from Donegall Road / train stop When you alight from the train on the Donegall Road, at the Belfast City Hospital train stop, turn left and walk a short distance up the Donegall Road. Turn left at the blue gates, marked Gate C and ahead of you is the rear entrance of the City Hospital tower block. Walk straight ahead, keeping to the left. Cross at zebra crossing and enter the building at the the blue and white sign To all Wards marked with a yellow arrow. Enter the hospital and walk along the corridor, past the Pharmacy sign and kitchens on the right, until you reach the sign pointing to the right, Passenger lifts to all Wards. Way out to main entrance. Through these doors and on the right are the lifts. Take the lift to the U Floor (University Floor). Upon exiting the lift, turn right and right again, following the signage towards Reception. Press the buzzer for access.

2 6 easy steps to the Northern Ireland Clinical Research Facility For visitors who prefer not to use the lift, please note that there is a flight of stairs. Option One: Access to stairway, if coming from front entrance: For visitors who prefer not to use the lift, please note that there is a flight of stairs. The stairwell is located through blue door, just before the lifts on your left, if you are walking from front entrance. Option Two: Access to stairway, if entering building via rear entrance / train stop entrance. At the rear of the Belfast City Hospital, there is an entrance marked: To all Wards and Departments. Enter the hospital and walk along the corridor, past the Pharmacy and kitchens on the right, until you reach the sign pointing to the right, Passenger lifts to all Wards. Way out to main entrance. Through these doors and on the right are the lifts. We are seventy steps upstairs, past the Control Floor, Administration and Dining Floors en route. Beyond the passenger lifts, to the right is a door. At the University Floor, there is a door which leads to five more steps. Turn right. Walk up the seventy steps, past the Control Floor, Administration and Dining Floors en route. At the University Floor there is a door which leads to five more steps. Turn left as you come through the door and enter door straight ahead. Turn left through the door which is sign-posted for the NICRF Reception. Turn left as you come through the door, through another door and turn to your left, through the door which is sign-posted for the NICRF Reception.
