1 John Henry Court A purpose built staff accommodation block completed in Situated on the Princess Elizabeth Hospital site, John Henry Court is just a short 20 minute walk from the pretty town of St Peter Port and is on the main bus route into town. Accommodation for residents consists of 42 single bed sits and 24 one-bedroom flats which are always in the first instance offered to married couples. Each unit of accommodation includes its own kitchen, as well as ensuite toilet and shower room. TV and telephone points are provided in each unit, should residents wish to subscribe to their own personal service. Each floor in the bed-sit block has two communal living/dining rooms, one at each end of the corridors, lending a homely feel. Each floor of each block has its own communal laundry room equipped with 2 washing machines, 2 tumble dryers and ironing boards/irons. These facilities are operated by tokens which may be purchased from the cashier s office situated in the Princess Elizabeth Hospital main foyer, or the Porters Lodge out of hours.
2 Rosewood House & Flats This property is divided into several units; the main house has 6 basic rooms and one en suite bedsit, sharing a large kitchen, dining room, lounge bathroom, and 2 shower rooms with a number of separate wc s. Adjoining the house there are to two-person self-contained flats, situated on two floors of the building and a single self-contained flat to the rear of the main house. Amherst House This building is surrounded by a large garden and parking. The house consists of 2 selfcontained flats, each comprising 4 basic bedrooms with a communal lounge/diner and small kitchen. Each flat has 2 separate toilets and a bathroom.
3 Quinn House This property is located on the same site as Amherst flats but situated to the rear of the site bordering onto Beau Sejour Leisure Centre. The property has 4 self contained one bedroom flats and 2 x 2 person self contained flats. Lydda A large Victorian property situated in the north of the island, it has a number of basic rooms both large and small with ample showers and toilets; also the property has one large suite, this suite benefits from its own lounge, large bedroom with its own bath and shower. Benefiting from a large private garden and onsite parking. Although this property is one of the furthest from the hospital it has a post office, bank and other shops and amenities close by. Amballa This relatively new accommodation is available to single professional staff eligible for a housing licence in relation to their post. This building has been developed by the Guernsey Housing Association in conjunction with the Health and Social Services Department and is the first step in the provision of staff accommodation for key workers. The property is situated only minutes from the hospital and close to the town of St Peter Port; also the property has a small walled garden.
5 Arlington Court This house is divided into 4 self-contained areas and all rooms are en suite. The building was completed and first opened to residents in October 2001 and each area has a communal lounge, dining area and kitchens. This property is located close to the PEH and was the first purpose built unit designed for healthcare staff accommodation. Large grounds and benefits from onsite parking. Picture not available Braye Lodge This is a former hotel consisting of a communal lounge, dining room, outside seating area and kitchen. There is parking to the front of the building. The bedrooms are as follows: 16 ensuite rooms and 9 basic rooms with ample communal bathrooms and toilet facilities. This property is close to the Hospital and town amenities.
6 Hamada All rooms are ensuite some rooms are larger than others and therefore charges vary. The place is situated close to the town of St Peter Port and all amenities, but only offers street parking. This property is within easy walking distance of the Hospital. The house is in good condition, however, the rooms are not en suite but there is a bathroom and a separate shower room and wc on the ground floor. And on the first floor 2 bedsits with their own kitchens but sharing bathroom facilities. This property is currently being upgraded with new kitchens and general redecoration. The house has a large rear garden with parking to the front. La Vauquiedor Lodge This property was acquired by the Health Service in September 1988 and is situated within walking distance of the PEH. All of the rooms are basic standard rooms with a communal lounge/diner, kitchen and utility area. There is a bathroom with a separate toilet and a shower room with a second toilet. The properties benefits from a large sunny garden, with just a few parking spaces. It is situated close to the town and all amenities.
