9 What does it mean to be a Fellow? 1 AIA Fellowship elevates those architects who make a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession.

10 Judson Kline has worked tirelessly to establishing an architecture and design magnet school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. His effort resulted in the formation of a National Forum connecting architecture and design high schools nationwide.

11 2 How does one achieve fellowship? An architect will have a distinguished body of work, will have made notable contributions, will have widespread recognition of results, will share knowledge or experience, and will have leadership experience in the American Institute of Architects.

22 Consideration for pursuing fellowship (this will keep you busy): 1. Build a reach beyond your local community. 2. Develop relationships with those who can tell your story. 3. Do something with your career to make it meaningful. 4. Enlist colleagues who can encourage your career efforts. 5. Each personal effort should reinforce your skills and emphasize your passion.
