With the generous support of our 2018 sponsors, we were able to produce a series of exciting events this year.

2 LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Friends of IIDA Southern California, All of us at the IIDA SoCal Chapter want to sincerely thank you for your support of Commercial Interior Design in Southern California. It is your generosity that makes it possible for IIDA SoCal to provide outstanding educational, social and cultural opportunities to our members and the entire design community. With the generous support of our 2018 sponsors, we were able to produce a series of exciting events this year. Our signature event, Calibre 2018, had the highest attendance and the most award nominations than any previous year. This year s, which we present in conjunction with IIDA Headquarters, has a focus on social justice and diversity which is so important in today s world. We have rebranded the Speaker Series to be Turning Point encouraging our members in each City Center to acknowledge the major events that shaped their careers. As I write this the City Centers are in the planning stages of their Fashion Shows - they continue to be the highlight of the year for each City Center. And the DesignConnect events have found their footing and are thriving. The Student Portfolio Competition and Design Charrette continue to attract the best and brightest of our rising stars. We were all extremely excited when a member of our winning Design Charrette team was on the winning team at the Regional Design Charrette and went on to represent the Western Region at the National Competition at NeoCon. With your support, we expect that 2019 will be another banner year for IIDA SoCal. Our goals include increasing our membership by providing more substantive programs that are of value to our community. We will continue our Advocacy efforts at the local and state levels. And we will increase outreach to students through the growing the Campus Centers. We are continuing to offer multiple levels of sponsorship. It features a compelling keynote speaker to inspire attendees. During the event, we also honor someone in the local design community for their contributions to the industry. CITY CENTER EVENTS CITY CENTER FASHION SHOWS Each year, we hold fashion show events throughout Southern California. These couture runway events feature a cohesive theme around which architects, designers and students create custom outfits, created using typical interior design finish materials. TURNING POINT SERIES We host a series of lectures twice a year in the spring and fall with a leading design industry luminary speaking about design issues relevant to all. CONNECT / WALK The IIDA New Product Trade Show is the premier contract interiors exhibit, showcasing the latest trends for commercial environments in Southern California. Booths of varying sizes are available at IIDA New Product Trade Show events in Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego each year. These are the events included in the Chapter Sponsor packages.
