1 Headquartered in Washington D.C. the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has been the leading professional membership association for licensed architects, emerging professionals and allied partners since Through education and research, the AIA and its more than 83,000 members express their commitment to excellence in design and livability in our country s buildings and communities. The Atlanta Chapter of the AIA is currently the seventh largest chapter in the nation, with over 1,700 Professional, Associate and Allied members. Our membership extends geographically from the Atlanta Metropolitan Area to include all of North Georgia. 2 2016 Patron Program Introduction 2 Becoming an Annual Patron of AIA Atlanta allows you to enter into an exclusive community of peers who believe in supporting the architectural community through on-going and reoccurring programs and events. Your patronage offers unique opportunities to reach over 1,700 members and approximately 700 firms in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area, 65% of the registered architects in the Georgia and direct access to an industry that drives nearly seventeen billion dollars of construction annually. This program will provide AIA Atlanta the financial foundation to engage more of the community. It will also propel lasting initiatives to help build Atlanta s future through community outreach programs, educational opportunities and quality programming. Our Mission in 2016 is to continue advancing the quality of life in our community through inspiration and leadership in design and the built environment.
