Gatwick Airport is just over 40 miles by road or about 45 minutes away by rail. Southampton International Airport is also around 40 miles away by road via the nearby A27 which stretches from Pevensey in the east to Portsmouth in the west and links with north-bound routes. The nearest schools include Lymington Infants, Flora McDonald Juniors, Wickbourne Infants and Arun Vale Infants, while for secondary students, The Littlehampton Academy is on Hill Road. There are several nurseries and pre-schools. While many towns have lost those small, independent shops that offer valuable advice and hard-to-find items, Littlehampton boasts several, as well as a Sainsbury s, Morrison s and Tesco, a good choice of eateries and a Friday market. For healthcare, the main NHS hospitals with A&E services are at Worthing and, only slightly further away, St Richard s in Chichester.
