1 February 24, 2014 State of Nevada Department of Wildlife Mr. Bruce McDaniel 1100 Valley Road Reno, Nevada Dear Mr. McDaniel: Subject: WILDLIFE HERITAGE TRUST ACCOUNT PROPOSALS Spotted, Pintwaters, Desert, Sheep Mountain Ranges The purpose of our four maintenance requests to the Heritage Fund is to provide the necessary helicopter time required to transport men - out and back - from remote water development projects. Setting down and physically checking, making repairs as required, recording water storage and usage in sixteen different mountain ranges with water development sites per the Heritage request. This application meets the requirements of the Wildlife Heritage Program by providing the follow up and maintenance of water development projects that are life sustaining to numerous wildlife populations. Without this program we are at risk of having "failed" projects. At present we are monitoring approximately 115 water development projects in Southern Nevada. In most situations, if checking using ATV's and then by foot, we can only access and check two projects a day. Obviously, this makes it extremely important that we be able to reach some of these more difficult to access remote water development projects by helicopter. The Fraternity of Desert Bighorn will provide the miscellaneous materials and labor for the repairs that are encountered. The cost for the material portion can vary from zero to $ per project (excluding water tanks if replacement is required.) Thank you for your time and consideration of these four applications. Sincerely, FRATERNITY OF THE DESERT BIGHORN ~y~ Director p.o. Box Las Vegas, NV
