She is a licensed professional architect and has been recognized by her peers having been inducted to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in Sue Ann is a senior lecturer at the University of Texas San Antonio s College of Architecture, Construction and Planning (CAPC). Her commitment to teaching excellence has been recognized in the quality of her students work (garnering numerous top placings in the prestigious Peterson Prize Competition for best student produced set of measured drawings and historic documentation for the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS)). She has earned the Dean s Award for Outstanding Community Involvement (2011 and 2014), the Power of Preservation Foundation s Award for Education and Advocacy (2012) and a nomination for the Regents Outstanding Teaching Award (2012). A principal in her own firm, Mainstreet Architects, Inc., a successful awardwinning firm mastering in historic preservation and restoration, she also serves as the current president of the San Antonio Conservation Society, heads UTSA CACP s Center for Community Engagement and is currently serving on the Hemisfair Park Area redevelopment Corporation Board of Directors, The Alamo Plaza Advisory Committee, as Tri Chair, and the Association for Preservation Technology International Board of Directors. Sue Ann is a published, peer-reviewed researcher, contributing to the expansion of knowledge in the study of northern Mexico vernacular architecture and adobe

With the help of a professional facilitator, club members staged a mock board meeting stacked with stereotypical problem board members the one who speaks too much, the one who speaks too little, the one who commits too much, etc. Our amazing facilitator Beverley McClure identified each character and gave advice on how to manage that board member.
