2 ITEM: HISTORICAL COMMISSION Hagys Ford Road, Penn Valley, Class 2, 2018-R-29 Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval to replace existing wood casement and double-hung windows. All window types will be replaced in-kind, except for third floor double casement windows, which will be replaced with single casements replicating the current appearance. On December 17, 2018, the Historical Commission recommended approval of the application as submitted. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Modifications to the front and side entries at this property were recommended for approval by the Building & Planning Committee on December 12,

3 ITEM: HISTORICAL COMMISSION Indian Creek Road, Wynnewood, Class 2, 2018-R-27 Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval to replace all wood windows and French doors in the house. On December 17, 2018, the Historical Commission recommended approval of the wood window replacement and steel casement window restoration as proposed, and request that the applicant provide a final set of shop drawings for review by staff containing a note that light patterns will match existing. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Repair and replacement of metal casement windows was recommended for approval by the Building & Planning Committee on December 12,

4 ITEM: HISTORICAL COMMISSION North Highland Avenue, Merion Station, Class 2, 2018-R-26 Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval to replace all wood double-hung sash windows in the home. New windows and doors will replicate the existing in function and appearance. On December 17, 2018, the Historical Commission recommended approval of the application as submitted, contingent upon the applicant submitting manufacturer specifications for staff review. 4

5 ITEM: HISTORICAL COMMISSION - 15 West Old Gulph Road, Gladwyne, Class 1, 2018-R-30 Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval to replace a cedar shake roof with Inspire Aledora synthetic slate. On December 17, 2018, the Historical Commission recommended approval of the replacement synthetic slate roofing material on all sloping roof surfaces, including on outbuildings, with all exposed surfaces of the pole gutters and flashing to be copper. 5

6 ITEM: HISTORICAL COMMISSION - 6 Lancaster Avenue, Wynnewood, Class 1, 2018-R-32 Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval of revised architecture for a proposed apartment building adjacent to the historic resource. On December 17, 2018, the Historical Commission found that the second revision of the building's design would have a minimal impact on the adjacent historic resources. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The application to construct a new four-story apartment building adjoining the existing historic Green Hill Farms (Palmer Seminary) complex was last reviewed by the Historical Commission in May, The applicant returned to the Historical Commission to present changes to the architecture and materials of the proposed new building. 6
