12 L E E D P L A T I N U M LEED PLATINUM CERTIFICATION AWARD Nine has been awarded with LEED Platinum Pre-certification & is targeting to achieve LEED Platinum certificate under LEED 2009 Core & Shell. 1.EXTERNAL ENVELOPE The envelope is designed with double glazed units and vertical shading along the East and West sides to achieve a good overall thermal transfer value for the building envelope. The WWR (window- to-wall ratio) of the façade design is balanced out to reduce solar heat gain and at the same time allow natural daylight levels to penetrate within the space. 3.RAINWATER HARVESTING Rain fall over roof surfaces and other exposed areas are collected and treated to be used for non-potable water consumption such as irrigation and toilet flushing as a strategy to reduce demand from municipal potable water supply. 4.EFFICIENT COOLING SYSTEM The HVAC system is designed using high efficient VRF system. VRF system allows flexibility forspace reconfiguration and operation hour. This system will be equipped with fresh air fan to introduce outdoor air into the space which will improve indoor air quality. Instruments for monitoring energy consumption and system performance will be provided. 2.HIGH SRI ROOF Infusing sky gardens in the roof design as well as the use of roofing materials with high SRI value help in reducing heat island effect. 3.EFFICIENT OFFICE LIGHTING Office lighting is designed with T5/PLC lamp lighting with high frequency electronic ballast and LED lamps. Corridor and lobbies are provided with timer control to switch off during off-peak hours. 6.GREEN ROOF & SKY GARDENS Green decks contribute towards open space requirements and provide pocket areas foroutdoor used and activity. 7.EFFICIENT FACADE LIGHTING Façade lighting is designed to use LED lamps for more efficient lighting power consumption. 8.STORMWATER MANAGEMENT A stormwater management system is in place to attenuate stormwater discharge within the site and recharge the ground water table. Soak wells and bio-retention ponds are integrated within the landscape design to serve as catchments and natural filtration system
