6 TENANCY AGREEMENT AND RENT Visit the KOAS Accommodation office / JYY Accommodation services to sign the tenancy agreement Kortepohja tenants get access to Rentukka learning space and gym! Leases without the ending day written notice of moving one calendar month before the departure. Rent and other fees are paid once a month with reference number / payer info Apartment checklist online

7 INTERNET IN KORTEPOHJA Step 1. Plug your device into the wall socket (you need a cable) Step 2. Open up the browser and fill in the registration form that opens automatically Need more devices on the Internet / the WiFi? Get yourself a router (ethernet! NEVER adsl. JUST ETHERNET.) You can buy one from anywhere, e.g. Multitronic (Gummeruksenkatu 6) Anything to ask? Misuse of the net (also improper settings that cause harm for other users) will lead to cut of the net. In Kortepohja, you are using the same, safe, fast and reliable Funet network that exists at the University campuses. You have access to all University network services from your own home!!

9 PROBLEMS IN YOUR APARTMENT KORTEPOHJA: KOAS: Online Service Smoke alarms: In each apartment, responsibility of the tenant to buy new batteries Contact the housing office / maintenance right away, if you encounter pests in your flat. (Excluding silverfish, who tend to live in the city sewers and climb up occasionally.)

10 PAY ATTENTION TO RECYCLING Each location has separate containers for paper glass metal organic waste cartons Find in the neighbourhood: Batteries, electric appliances, plastic, textiles. If needed, contact your tutor for advice.

11 FOR A SAFER COMMUNITY No smoking inside the building Apartments, balconies and corridors are all non-smoking area Silence times! Respect your neighbor <3 <3 Trash on the corridors poses a threat to fire safety and hygiene! Find the nearest garbage collection point Everybody is responsible for cleaning Schedule with flatmates Home insurance! Included in Kortepohja Thermostats adjust the radiators room temperature is 21 C Do not cover radiators! Dress yourself like an onion!
