We hope you find The City of Light as exciting and welcoming as imagined. Thanks for booking with VIP and welcome to Paris! Please visit Guest Services for our VIP Welcome Basket, passes, transfers, and more! Arrival Day: Although the manager has your arrival details, they ask that you give a quick call to confirm that you are on the way to the apartment to meet them for the keys. This will provide good communication and ensure a smooth check-in. We recommend that if you are arriving into either the airport or rail station, that you make that call after collecting your luggage, but prior to making your way to the apartment. As you exit, you should see pay phones available if you are not traveling with a mobile. Most pay phones do require a calling card which you can purchase at a Tabac. Please do not phone earlier than 8.30am. Do not go to the apartment without calling and personally speaking with the manager first. Please do not leave a message as with French mobiles, the manager may not get the message until hours later. Be sure to keep trying until you reach them directly. Your Paris Manager: Your local Paris manager during your stay is Tania Tristano. You may contact her on her mobile at or her at tristano2@yahoo.com. If for any reason you are unable to reach her, you may contact her back up manager Franni Soliman at If you leave a message, be sure to clearly state your name, phone number, apartment and the best time to return your call. In order to make your stay the best that it can be, please contact Tania if you should find anything out of order or need additional assistance. Any issues or complaints with the apartment should be addressed during your stay. This will give us the opportunity to correct the issue and make your stay as comfortable as possible. We regret that we are unable to address any issues after your stay if the manager or VIP has not been notified. Transportation to the Apartment: One of the easiest ways to travel from the airport or rail station to your apartment is by a private car service. Both services below will provide a driver who will be waiting with your name. It's the more affordable and stress free way to begin your stay in Paris!
2 Your Private Shuttle - offers full service to/from all the airports as well as all the rail stations. With personal service from start to finish, this is a great option. The driver will even call the manager for you and let them know that you're on the way. Please yourprivateshuttle@gmail.com to inquire about rates or to make a reservation. Global Transfer Services - offers service only to/from the airports. You book and pay right online making it an easy choice. Click here or visit: If you're traveling light and have had experience with the RER and metro, you may contact service@vacationinparis.com and we would be happy to provide specific directions for you. However, be aware of your surroundings as you'll probably be tired from your travels and can be a prime target for pickpockets. It may also require several line changes which can be difficult with luggage and many flights of stairs. Check In Time: is after 1:00pm. You may drop off your luggage anytime AFTER 9:30am and return once the apartment is ready for your stay. If you arrive and find the apartment has already been cleaned, you may go ahead and make yourself at home. Otherwise, you may leave your packed bags but will need to step out while the cleaners prepare for your stay. They will do their best to get you settled in as soon as possible. You can go out to explore your new neighborhood and return at the time the cleaner has given you or after 1:00pm. Check Out Time: is 9:30am. The cleaning staff must prepare the apartment for the next arriving guests, so please check out no later than 9:30am. You may contact the manager during your stay to see if you might be able to leave your bags longer. As a courtesy to arriving guests, please vacate the apartment on time. If the cleaning staff is delayed by your departure you may lose some of your security deposit. Location & Entry: Your apartment is located at 13 Passage de l Union, Paris. To gain entry to the door, enter the code 97A5. At the second glass door enter the code 2679B or you may use the green fob. A fob is not necessary and not always supplied. Walk through the security door into the lobby and proceed up one flight of stairs and the door will be directly in front of you. Turn the key 2.5 times to the LEFT to unlock the door. To lock the door, turn the key 2 times to the RIGHT. **Hallway lights are on timers in the entry and each floor, so be sure to look for them. Keys: Since you picked up the keys at the apartment, please leave all keys behind on your departure day. The keys must remain in the apartment for future guests use. Failure to follow this procedure will impact your security deposit. NEVER carry the keys/codes and apartment address together as this may put your belongings at risk. However, always carry your local manager phone number with you in case you lose your keys or get locked out. The door lock is for your protection use it correctly: Make certain that all door locks are fully engaged when you leave the apartment and while you're inside. This requires that when the door is closed you turn the key several times to activate all the locking points. Turn the key THREE times to the LEFT to unlock the door 3 complete circles of the key. When leaving you have to turn the key to the LEFT half way in order to close the door. When the door is closed turn the key TWO times to the RIGHT to lock the door. Important: Never leave the keys in the lock inside the apartment when departing. If the keys are left in the lock and no one can enter the apartment, a locksmith will need to be called. The existing lock may need to be destroyed and replaced. You will be responsible for paying the locksmith directly as well as any costs incurred to have new keys made to replace all keys for the apartment inventory. The cost could easily exceed 800. 3 General Apartment Details: Please remember that the apartment is a self-catering rental. This means that guests are responsible for items such as personal toiletries. You will find a starting supply of toilet paper and hand soap. We suggest that you check to see what prior guests might have left behind before you do any shopping. Many times you will find non-perishable items such as coffee, tea or sugar. You will be provided with clean towels and linens for your stay. You can expect 1 set of towels per guest for up to 7 days and an additional set for longer stays. Extra towels and linens are available during your stay for an additional fee; please contact your local manager. You may find a locked closet or cupboard, which contains the owners/managers personal supplies. Please refrain from opening or using additional supplies or this will affect your security deposit. Our rental does not include concierge services; please do not contact the manager unless you need assistance with the apartment. House Book: The House Book will provide you with all the information that you'll need to connect to the Wi-Fi, work the appliances and use the phone, etc. If you should have any questions, please contact your local manager to assist you. Be A Good Neighbor! Please remember that you are staying in a private apartment in a building where the majority of your neighbors are full time residents. Your neighbors are not on vacation and may not be keeping your holiday hours. Out of respect for your neighbors, we ask that follow these rules: Please do not slam the doors. When the windows are open, keep your voices down and do not play the TV or music at a high volume. Please talk quietly in the hallway and other common areas in the building. Please do not loiter in any areas of the building with your luggage. Be careful that your luggage does not bang into the walls when using the stairs. When going in or out, make sure you always close the doors of the building. Some Important Do s and Don ts: PLEASE Do not smoke in the apartment. Do not leave the keys inside the door lock when departing. Do not carry the keys and apartment address together for security reasons. Do not cover the heaters. Do like Europeans and conserve energy! Make sure all appliances and lights are off when not in use or you are not in the apartment. Do keep the noise down. If a written complaint about excessive noise is received, you may risk losing your deposit. Do inform the local contact immediately if you find something damaged or broken. If you happen to break something yourself, please try to replace it. If you are unable, be sure to advise the apartment manager of the damage. Do close all windows when you leave the apartment.
