1 RULES MANTRA LEGENDS RESORT HOUSE The house rules must be read and agreed to by all occupants of the hotel room, then signed and returned to Reception before you check-in or are allowed access to Hotel accommodation & facilities. To all schoolies, Welcome to Mantra Legends Hotel. We hope to make your stay for the Schoolies Festival 2011 as enjoyable and safe as possible. This Hotel is centrally located and close to all facilities that you may wish to use during your stay with us. For further information on what is available on the Gold Coast or to book a Tour or Theme Park please contact our Reception or Concierge Teams. I am sure that you have all been looking forward to your Schoolies Festival since the start of the year and as previously stated we wish to make it as safe and enjoyable as possible. In order for us to do that, we need your help. Please understand that this period is far busier than normal and our staff will need your assistance to make your stay at Mantra Legends as hassle free as possible. With this in mind we have produced the following rules which are to be observed at all times whilst you are accommodated here. By signing this document you agree to be bound by these rules. 1. Please make sure that your friends and family are aware of your contact details including your room number and your mobile number. 2. No item of any kind is to be thrown or dropped from any balcony, door or window. Any person disregarding this rule will be removed from the premises immediately. 3. Do not shout from doors, balconies or windows. Always remember that you are responsible for any visitor s actions be it in Reception or in your Hotel room. 4. Fire Exit Doors are only to be used in an emergency, doors must remain closed at all times as this assists the automated smoke ventilation system. Do not interfere with fire fighting equipment at any time. A call out fee of $ will apply from the Qld Fire and Rescue Service should you interfere with Fire Exit Doors or equipment, or should you or the occupants of your Hotel room set off the Hotels Fire Alarm System.

2 Please note that excessive smoke from cooking, candles etc or excessive steam from your shower can cause an activation of the fire alarm system. 5. All breakages, damage, stained carpets or thefts from Hotel rooms will be deducted from rental bonds. Please report any incidents to Reception as soon as possible. Accidents do happen so ensure you assist our staff by reporting these promptly. 6. Hotel Management reserves the right for our Housekeeping staff to announce themselves before entering your Hotel room, then to enter and assist the occupants in taking out all rubbish, bottles etc on a daily basis. 7. No unregistered guests (persons not staying at Mantra Legends) are allowed beyond the glass doors leading to the main Pool area or Gym. All guests entering the Pool area must have their Schoolies ID visible. 8. Glass or alcohol is not permitted inside the pool area at any time. Any person disregarding this by-law will be removed from the premises immediately. 9. No glass bottles are to be brought into the building at any time. If we find any glass bottles they will be confiscated and returned to their owner on departure. 10. Government regulations dictate that smoking is not permitted in any internal common areas and Building by-laws dictate that smoking is not permitted in side any Hotel room. A dedicated smoking area is provided outside of reception under cover. 11. Please remember the rights of others. Please do not have radios, TV s or make any other noise that is likely to disturb the enjoyment of other guests within the building. After 9.00pm no noise is to be audible from any Hotel room. Management reserve the right to enter your Hotel room at any time if noise complaints are received from other guests of the Hotel. 12. Please remember to lock all doors and windows when you are not in the Hotel room. Management reserves the right to enter your Hotel room to secure doors and windows in the event of adverse weather conditions. 13. You are advised not to bring any guests into the building between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 am. Outside these hours you are permitted a maximum of two (2) guests in your Hotel room at any one time. Management reserves the right at any time to stop visitation within the property and to enter your Hotel room to check for total occupants, as excess occupants will contravene the Qld Fire & Rescue Service limits placed on total occupants at Mantra Legends. 14. Any unregistered guests found in the building between 6.00 pm and 8.00 am will be escorted off the premises immediately. 15. Please keep the Hotel room in good order. Remember, it will be thoroughly inspected on your departure. Please remember that a $ extra cleaning charge applies upon departure if excessive mess is found. Additionally, all damage will be deducted from your bond monies.

3 16. Please remember to keep your Schoolies ID and Mantra Legends access key cards with you at all times when outside of your Hotel room. If you are locked out, a fee of $10 applies for the Duty Manager to cut a Hotel room access key card. You must also have your Schoolies ID with you if you need a new access key card cut. 17. Firearms, drugs or weapons, fighting of any kind and theft will be reported to the Police immediately. By agreeing to abide by the House Rules above you will assist management and staff in providing great facilities for a memorable schoolies Always remember, if you need assistance of any kind, we are here to help. Your bond will only be refunded: On receipt of a valid bond refund request made within 12 months of the date your stay ends; and After the hotel/resort manager has confirmed that you have incurred no additional expenses and have not caused any damage or breakages.

4 Your right to reclaim the bond will be extinguished if you do not claim it within 12 months of the date your stay ends and as such will be forfeited to Samarad Pty Ltd trading as Schoolies.com. Schoolies the TOP No glass: allowed in the building at any time, for your safety and the safety of others please abide by this rule at all times. Visit the Red Frogs in the main Lobby area if you have any glass and you can transfer the contents into plastic bottles. Essential 2. Your ID passes: must be worn at all times, otherwise you will be stopped at the front door and asked to produce your official Schoolies ID. Should you lose your pass, present yourself to Reception and you will be given a form to complete in order to obtain another one at your own expense from the nearest Schoolies HQ. 3. Balconies: should you be caught (and you will) throwing any item off the balcony, you will be evicted immediately and the police will be called. There are no second chances for this rule in particular as you are risking the lives of others should you decide to ignore this directive. Essential 4. Noise: although you are here to have fun and celebrate the end of school, remember we do have people who live in this building. Security, management and the Red Frogs will be conducting random checks throughout the entire week. Please be respectful of others while you are here. 5. Visitors: only 2 visitors are allowed into each unit at any one time until 6pm. Visitors will be required to sign-in with security at front entrance and must vacate at the nominated time. After this time, only registered guests will be allowed in the room and we will be checking nightly. Essential. 6. Wristbands: you must have a wristband to gain access into the Schoolies Hub in Surfers Paradise. The wristbands are available from the Red Frogs who will be based in the Hotels main Lobby area throughout the week. 7. EAT FOOD: We have a Schoolie Poolside BBQ running daily from 11am for a nominal fee. Subject to weather conditions. 8. Resort Damage: if you have damage in your room for whatever reason, give our management team the courtesy of reporting it immediately so we can fix it. We understand that accidents can happen but the sooner we know, the better. 9. RUBBISH: Housekeeping will be entering every room on a daily basis to remove rubbish, bottles etc. 10. Resort Management reserves the right mid-week (Wednesday) for our housekeeping staff to announce themselves before entering your apartment, then to enter and assist the occupants in taking out all excess garbage. 25. No unregistered guests (persons not staying at the Resort) are allowed to access the Resort Pool and other facilities at any time. All guests entering the Pool Gate must have their Schoolies ID visible. 26. Glass or alcohol is not permitted inside the pool area at any time. Any person disregarding this rule will be removed from the premises immediately. 27. No glass bottles are to be brought into the building at any time. If we find any glass bottles they will be confiscated and returned to their owner on departure. 28. Government regulations dictate that smoking is not permitted in any internal common areas and Building By-Laws dictate that smoking is not permitted inside any apartment. A dedicated smoking area is provided for you, enquire at reception. 29. Remember the rights of others. Management reserves the right at any time to stop visitation within the property and to enter your apartment to check for total occupants, as excess occupants will contravene the Qld Fire & Rescue Services limits placed on total occupants at your Resort. 32. Any unregistered guests found in the building between 4.00 pm and 8.00 am will be escorted off the premise immediately. 33. Please keep the apartment in good order. Remember, it will be thoroughly inspected on your departure. 34. Please remember to keep your Schoolies ID and Resort access key, or key card with you at all times when outside of your apartment. If you are locked out after reception hours, a fee of $10 applies for the Manager on duty or Security personnel to allow access to your apartment, you must also have your Schoolies ID with you if you need to access the Resort and/or your apartment. 35. Firearms, drugs or weapons, fighting of any kind and theft will be reported to the police immediately.

7 The following special Bond conditions apply for bookings at Mantra Legends Samarad Pty Ltd trading as Schoolies.com will hold your bond as security against any additional expenses you incur, and any damage or breakages you caused during your stay.
