2 Location and Building SITE AD BUILDIG DESCRIPTIO Approaching the facility from Walker Street, the main entrance drive directs visitors to the drop-off area at the main entrance lobby or to the underground parking garage. The facility consists of a total building area of 420,000 sq. ft., with an underground parking garage for 880 cars. The south plaza is accessible to UAW-GM employees and visitors only. The site has frontage on the Detroit River and offers secured access to the Riverwalk pedestrian walkway, which connects to other riverfront properties on the east and west. A pedestrian gate west of the main entry drop-off area allows a secured entry and exit to the River Place Properties/Roberts Hotel. WALKER MAI ETRACE TO SITE 3 BLOCKS TO E. 3 Location and Building PARKIG The parking garage is located directly below the first floor building level. The vehicle entrance and exit are one-way. Traffic aisles are marked with red arrows ( ). To assist you in way finding, the garage is divided into three main sections that relate to the color-coding associated with the building signage: West (Office Tower) Center (Training Center) East (Building Support, High-Bay Training, Cafeteria) Signs with the above color-coding are painted on the columns in the garage indicating row and section. Specially designated parking areas are provided for persons with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Appropriate credentials are required and must be visibly displayed at all times. The CHR vehicle parking policy, as outlined on page B-2, applies to all vehicles that enter CHR property. Employee Parking Parking is provided for employees in the parking garage. For their convenience, employees who work in the office tower are encouraged to use the spaces in the terra cotta (red) color-coded area. Signage in the terra cotta area will direct employees to the elevator lobby in the office tower (for employees only). Signage in the green color-coded area will direct visitors to the main lobby and training tower. Security will be monitoring parking policies to ensure that visitors do not park in employee parking areas. See layout on the next page for the locations of employee and visitor parking areas. Visitors, Customers, Contractors Parking The visitor parking area provided in the garage is for visitors, customers and contractors. Visitors will be required to enter the facility through the main lobby entrance and register with the Security desk or receptionist. See layout on the next page for the location of visitor parking area. You must provide Security with the name of all visitors expected at the CHR. C-4
