5 Engineering Design There will always be a need to translate design into reality. LDS recognise the need for accuracy and clarity in such translations. Bridging the gap between planning and the civil construction is the key to ensuring the finished product looks as it is planned to. LDS is conscientious in the super vision of its projects with regular field inspections and close liaison with the client and civil contractor. An in-house database of ci vil contract rates and materials for comparison of tenders or project cost estimation allows an efficient assessment of pr oject viability and cost forecasting for the respective development. With this information at hand an accurate bill of quantity analysis can be carried out quickly. The projects costs estimates can be provided along with design plans for the projects budgetar y consideration. With field staff cross-skilled in the critical requirements of each di vision, LDS is able to see beyond the scope of wor ks and pinpoint issues before they become problems. 6 Project Management With over 30 years combined experience, our Project Manager s can supervise a diverse range of pr ojects from feasibility studies through planning, engineering design and construction phase to the final subdivision and registration of titles. All feasibility studies are pr epared under internal quality assurance guidelines to ensure that clients have all the information needed to make i nformed decisions on project viability. LDS has a strong commitment to ongoing education and professional development of all staff, providing clients with the latest techniques and equipment available.
