3 REQUIRED Primary and Secondary Logo These guidelines include instructions on correct usage of the logo and specifications for the color, size and area of noninterference. The Corporate Mark is the primary Mark. It must be used exactly as indicated in this Identity Standards Manual. There are two versions of the Mark. RECOMMENDED Primary Logo Horizontal Secondary Logo Stacked When possible, use the primary logo on white or colored backgrounds unless legibility becomes an issue. Horizontal White The secondary stacked logo should only be used when space is too limited for the horizontal logo. Stacked White The white logo should only be used on black or darker backgrounds when legibility becomes an issue using the black logo. The white secondary logo should only be used on black or darker backgrounds when legibility becomes an issue using the stacked black logo. REQUIRED The Coldwell Banker logo does not need to appear along with the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury logo, however the company DBA needs to always be included. The company DBA does not need to appear next to the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury logo, but must appear clearly and conspicuously. The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury logo is authorized for use with your approved company trade name (called your company trade name or DBA ) as described on yard signs, stationery, business cards, websites, classified and display advertising, personal promotion literature and all other advertising materials and external communications. It is the uniqueness of each of these elements and the way they have been assembled into a unit that give the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury logo its distinctive character. Details and specifications on the correct size, color matches and use of the logo in various application are contained within this manual and must be follwed exactly. REQUIRED Logo Usage The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury logo is recommended for all applicable program materials and should be used whenever possible. The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury logo is recommended for use with your approved company trade name (called your company trade name or DBA ). Use the logo for the following: n Stationery, including letterhead, business cards, etc. n Local Television Spots and Home Shows n Print and Trade Ads n Postcards and Flyers n Online Banner Advertising n Affiliate and Agent Websites n Yard Signs n Collateral Pieces and Brochures 2

4 REQUIRED Logo Specifications These guidelines include instructions on correct usage of the logo and specifications for the color, size and area of non-interference. Reproduction: This page shows the two approved color variations for the logo. All Color Process Printing: The CMYK logo has been designed for all applications that allow for four-color reproduction using process colors, such as magazine advertising and brochures. The logo can also be used for times when logo needs to appear at small sizes or appears on materials where reproduction quality is poor. These applications may include promotional items such as cuff links or golf balls, or small-sized newspaper listing ads. 7 REQUIRED Registered Service Mark Overview: DBA Individual sales associates must utilize their approved company DBA and are prohibited from altering it in any way, or creating their own. The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury registered service mark is never to be used alone without your company trade name. This is also true in copy when using the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury logo. 6

9 The following chart provides an overview of what to do and what not to do with regard to the Mark. REQUIRED RECOMMENDED DO NOT The Mark Use the proper Coldwell Banker Global Luxury mark in all advertising, flyers, postcards, websites, yard signs, building signs, business cards, name badges, specialty items and stationery items. DO NOT place any other copy or graphics in or immediately around the logo. Nothing else is allowed in the logo s box. REAL ESTATE Ensure the Mark is PMS 6C or 100% black. Download logos from CB Exchange, and use it unaltered. 11 Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Coldwell Banker Global Luxury is a marketing program offered by your local company which allows luxury specialists to include the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury designation in all marketing materials. REQUIRED Campaign Program Elements To maintain consistency and protect the integrity of the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury program, the following elements are incorporated into all advertising templates. The following guidelines include instructions on correct usage and production of the black bar, global region list, legal disclaimer and photography direction. Bar The black bar is a design element that appears within the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury branding program. These guidelines include instructions on correct usage and production of the black bar. Color Specs: Rich, Cyan 60 Magenta 40 Yellow , Red 0 Green 0 Blue 0 Transparency of Bar: 80% opacity Sizing: The bar height will vary depending on the deliverable. Rule Line: Use color Pantone Cool Grey 7. The thickness should be the same as the rule in the logo lockup. The rule should align with the top of the Coldwell Banker logo. In instances where copy doesn t exist below the rule in the transparent bar, remove the rule as well. Copy: Use color Pantone Cool Grey 7 and font Adobe Garamond Pro Semibold in all caps. The bottom of the letters need to align with the bottom letters of Banker in the Coldwell Banker logo. Spacing: The space between the rule/copy and logo lockup will be equidistant between the logo lockup and the edge of the image. Placement on Branding Ads: - Always place over an image. It will have opacity of 80% applied. - If there is a white border around the ad, the bar will reside inside the border and not go over the border. To acknowledge and bring light to this unsurpassed global network, a list of regions with presence is included in all ads. Though the ads only reflect regions to avoid continuous updates as new offices open, the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury website will continue to break down geographic presence by country. The following list is to be used in its entirety at the bottom of each branding ad. Please refer to individual ad specs to determine the specific placement on the page. Do not add, delete or change any regions. When running a multi-page spread, the list always appears on the last page. These guidelines include instructions on correct usage of the linen texture. Only linen art files available on Coldwell Banker CB Exchange can be used in the linen program assets. Linen Texture for Yard Signs The linen texture for yard signs was designed for larger assets so that the linen texture can be noticeably visible at a larger scale. For all large print jobs, use the following file provided. Linen texture should print as a neutral grey. For reference, please refer to PMS Cool Grey 7C. 15 Coldwell Banker Global Luxury REQUIRED Linen Usage To maintain consistency with fonts and drop shadows used within the linen texture, follow these guidelines. Font Usage and Drop Shadow Requirements The font used should be. When type is used on the linen texture a drop shadow is required. However, a specific formula for the drop shadow does not exist as it will vary depending on the size of the type. The shadow should be created while viewing type at 100% at final output. Larger type will require a larger drop shadow. Conversely, smaller type will require a smaller drop shadow. 16 REQUIRED Logo: The logo must be used exactly as indicated in this Manual. It is the uniqueness of each part of the logo, and the way it has been assembled into a unit, that gives the trademark its distinctive character. The logo is the heart of the identity, and correct and consistent application is essential. Inconsistent use jeopardizes our right to exclusive ownership and use of the logo. The logo should never be altered in any way regardless of the application or the size of the logo within an application. Use only approved electronic logo artwork. Typography: The primary typefaces for all materials are Garamond and Helvetica Neue. The classic qualities of Garamond are suitable for headlines. 17 Photography Direction Property Photography: When photographing a property for use in an ad, the goal is to capture a heroic image that will catch a viewer s eye. Think about the composition of the final photo before shooting. There should be a clear focal point without too much going on. Wait for a clear day/night before shooting. Gray/overcast skies and mid-day sun do not translate well. Shooting at twilight is recommended and creating dramatic lighting with interior house lights is preferred. Photos should always be taken in color not black and white. Using real listings is an element of our program and these could be used on the website and marketing materials. You are responsible for obtaining any and all releases, licenses, and/or other permissions necessary to use the photograph for your intended purpose. It is recommended that they appear in places/situations that they would encounter on a typical day. Photography should be in color.
