It is a historic neoclassical house which has been registered as a "cultural heritage building" by the Ministry of Aegean and the Ministry of Culture. Built around 1870 by a well-known Greek ship owner, the residence has constituted ever since an emblem unaffected by the passage of time. Four generations of the Nomicos family have lived and prospered in Villa Oia, contributing substantially to the community in cultural and financial terms. They have all been gifted captains and ship-owners, ingenious businessmen, leading figures and benefactors of national acclaim. Over the years, distinguished guests among them, prominent politicians, prime ministers, ship-owners, international business personalities, intellectuals and family friends have enjoyed the generous hospitality of the owners. Recently Hollywood blockbusters such as Summer Lovers and Lara Croft were filmed in the surrounding area and in August 2004 the NBC network, filmed the sunset off the terrace of the villa for a morning show. Recently renovated to state of the art, Villa Oia retains its authentic glorious ambiance: ornamented facade, spacious living room, the vaulted ceilings, epoch chandeliers, hand-finished oak floors with the irregular size strips, rare antique furniture, Venetian mirrors etc. The renovation incorporates in authentic yet contemporary manner the island s finest traditional architectural elements. THE VILLA Villa Oia is a large luxury house by island standards and comprises five levels: ground floor, first floor, terrace, Jacuzzi level and basement.

On the Ground Floor it features the Reception, a spacious living and dining room with superb high vaulted ceilings, 2 bedrooms with King size beds and en-suite bathrooms (one of them has also a

It evokes a serene homely feeling, whereby the engaging pleasure of the space, takes your imagination for ride. It puts you in the mood for dancing a waltz with your partner. To keep in touch with the present, the living room is equipped with a discrete 42 flat screen 3D TV, cable TV and home cinema that facilitates independent sources like ipod, DVD s etc.

Also on the ground floor next to the inner terrace Myrtalis suite features grout colored terracotta floor, Cycladic white textured walls, king size double bed, spacious wardrobe and en suite bathroom.
